I have to admit, I am taking time off to watch this game. This might be Coach Mooney's last game coaching the Spiders. A year with 22 losses is hard to overlook.
Based on what evidence? If anything, UR overlooks this performance regularly…
Let the man dream a bit. At least we have a tiny bit of intrigue until Hardt quashes it with his annual, "the program had an uneven year, but Chris and I met are committed to us competing at the highest level" media interview he does a couple weeks after the season is over.
Maybe Hardt just e-mails JOC this comment, that seems to be his preferred method of media communication these days.

Fans certainly find it hard to overlook a 22 loss season. At least in Coach Mooney's prior years, one could say the cupboard was full. The teams in those 20+ loss seasons showed real promise. The patience was rewarded with success on the court. This year and next will be different. The reality is the program cannot adapt to the new operating environment.
Yeah, 8-22 would be a pretty tough sell in Year 20 of Our Lord And Savior to almost every program at this level or higher in Division I. But at Richmond? Meh. I don't think any of the powers that be really care.
DLo is not in the starting lineup, but according to this tweet is active and should play.
This is all valid. This will be Mooney's worst season. We have the worst NET in the A-10, we won 8 D-1 games. We are starting 3 seniors. We have had zero freshman minutes this year. We missed at everything in the portal.
Yeah, I know Mooney's gonna sell the youth movement, but unlike when he sold it last time with Gilly, Grant, Sherod, Buck; we had all seen those guys play on a college court and knew they could play. He is selling us on 5 freshman this year, none of which have stepped on the court. And he has been brutal at high school recruiting the past 5 years.

Just had rotator cuff surgery so I'm relegated to the recliner so I can't help myself but to watch. I guess I practiced too many free throws as a kid and wore it out. Tanner just put up a three and by the time it hit the rim there wasn't a blue shirt in the picture including him. And that's on a 70 inch TV. You've got to admit that they do what they're coached to do. Need to recruit some radicals.

So far this feels like every single game we have ever played against Davidson. If Mooney ever wants to get another job, he should just show the other program nonstop highlights against Davidson. Our offense never looks better. But their offense also always looks good against our defense, and no one can keep a big lead.
He takes bad shots too many times.
