Not sure if it’s coming across on tv, but we’re making Betts work hard for everything. If we can wear her down early we’ll be in a great spot. Easier said than done.
Only up 2 at the end of the first shooting 100% from 3 and 73% overall. Shows how perfect you need to be against UCLA. Going to be tough to win this, but the team is playing incredibly. Not sure there is an answer for Betts.
The big one has traveled at least 3 times. They have fouled us about 4 times that weren't called.
We’re gonna get called trying to guard Betts. Just have to deny as much as we can. Keep making her work.
The longer we hang the tighter UCLA will get. All the pressure is on them. We can just have fun.
To add onto this, every time they throw it in to her the crowd is screaming THAT’S A FOUL. I like our strategy and that the refs understand basketball is a physical game. It’s not a foul just because you’re guarding her.
Kenny George. The guy who was like 7’7” and huge and clumsy who played for UNC Asheville. Just height. I think Frank Layden said “You can’t teach height.”
Very impressive. Just a very entertaining game. Tied going into the half. This is on UCLA's home court too.
Apparently this is only the 2nd time this season UCLA has been tied or trailing at the half.
Betts hasn't made a shot past two feet from the hoop. She brings the ball down often. Gotta tie her up low.
Doogan is going to get a call from every high major coach in America this summer. We better have the $$$$ ready.
UCLA fans are very on edge right now. The last couple minutes of that first half there was a lot of SIT DOWN OVER THERE being yelled at the Richmond contingent behind the bench. Never a good sign when the home crowd is yelling at the one section of away fans.
They’re all moaning for a foul every time down the court too. Meanwhile nobody complained when 0 knocked Maggie to the ground and there was no call.

I like the 3 second call on Betts. There should have been more.
