Lines Week 12

The game of highest non league interest which has the greatest likelihood of altering the playoff seeding picture in our favor is:

Central Arkansas at Sam Houston State - Saturday,3:30 PM

Central Arkansas -1 v Sam Houston O/U 74

A Sam Houston win will move us to the #7 slot(assuming we beat the Tribe)

What do you think that a UCA win will do to our seeding, even if we beat W&M?

What is the line for the SDSU at UNI? UNI by 7?

I feel the top 4 are heavy favorites this week and won't change.
The Citadel playing a top 25 FBS won't change with a loss.

That leaves 3 spots and 5 teams
North Dakota with a bye so a win keeps us ahead of them.
With a win at UNI, South Dakota ST likely passes UND, but could they pass us even if we win?

I am not as certain as some as to where Sam Houston would be ranked with a loss.
Above, below or amongst - UR, UND, SDSU - if none of those three lose?
That is why a Central Arkansas loss gives me a higher degree of comfort.

UNI is favored over SDSU by -3
UCA is favored over Sam Houston St by -1

Haley from STATS.com picking the Tribe.

No surprise. He's got an anti UR slant.

His bracketology issued on Monday has UR playing the 1st weekend(not a seed).

"No. 7 Richmond (8-2, 5-2 CAA) at X-William & Mary (4-6, 2-5), noon - The Tribe seniors are very aware Richmond has won five straight games in this heated rivalry, including in the FCS playoffs last year."

I've never understood his beef with Richmond.
It's the only upset he's picking in his entire Top 25 preview.

I'm telling you. it's on me. I completely laid out his predecessor Dave Coulson years ago for being an App State homer. Sports Network/STATS has been very down on us ever since.

Haley is WAY better than Coulson was BTW.

I really miss Bruce Dowd's CAA Today column and the overall FCS coverage by collegesportingnews.com.

Coulson was the worst.

Dowd was amazing and he loved us. we always loaded him up with food and drink at tailgate.

I think I heard a few years ago that Bruce passed away. can anyone confirm?

Coulson wasn't just an App State homer he was in the tank for the SoCon. I remember in 2008, he kept putting Elon in his bracket over us even though we played a non-conference game AT Elon and blew them out.
