Sal and Grace both giving quality minutes in the post the last couple of minutes

The announcers just said this was a mismatch for Kentucky. That they never really had a chance
So we have a free game to fill for Detroit Mercy. We need that to be a real quality game. WVU had a good start. Win that one too and we have to be Top 15.

I hope Kentucky gets it together this season, would be great if they are in the top 25 come selection Sunday. They have a lot of work to do to get to the top 25 though.
I honestly can't believe it. I think the majority are in shock. In Rupp arena beyond huge for the program. COVID or not this is crazy. It's like march madness. Team is very special. And Mooney deserves his extension. However, let's finish the job. Great start now finish it. NCAA tournament final four....
Really impressed with a dominant 2nd half by the spiders. If Gilyard and Francis shot a little better we would have won by 20+.

Congratulations Spider fans! Y’all played a terrific game. This team is definitely a top 10-15 team maybe a solid top 10. Y’all looked sharp in every way - and your shooting was a bit off. With better shooting this could have been a 20+ win. I can only imagine how the A10 is going to deal with this team. Great job and I look forward to a solid season of hoops for these guys.

Gilly and Francis hit 25% on 3s and we win by 25. CAYO MVP today.
That honestly was not even in the top 10 of games we've played in the last year or so. We did so many things wrong and still dominated them in the end. Kentucky will be a decent team but we exposed them all sorts of ways today. Experience> talent in the early part of a college basketball season. And oh by the way, we had both.
Spiders showed some heart despite many shots not going their way. What an amazing effort. #RollSpide.
Cayo might be the best player on the team. What a great team win but Cayo is the reason we won
What a game. Very good defense. Is there any Spider who has ever outperformed expectations as much as Cayo? Best game I’ve ever seen from Grace. JG couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat, but his defense was consistently good and desperately needed. Great return from illness by our favorite Fin.
Cayo has been spectacular in the first 2 games this year.
Cayo and Blake really play with a swagger that has been lacking for awhile. It helps so much to have that. We clearly believed we could win today and win By simply playing with them toe to toe. No gimmicks etc. just toss it up and play. Man to man for 40 minutes, didn’t slow down etc.

I wasn't able to watch the second half (so I'll take credit for the win...you're welcome), and just caught up on Twitter highlights. Will admit I didn't think we would be able to pull this one out without Nick, but soooo glad to be proven wrong. Cayo's jump last year was so impressive, and I can't believe he's taken it to another level so far this year.
Trying to stay measured with thoughts of NCAAs, and there will be stumbles along the way, but this was huge...can't overstate it.

1. 4-7 on threes outside of Blake and Jacob. That’s going to be important.
2. grant played only 20 minutes. Hard to really grasp that we beat Kentucky with 20 total minutes from Grant and Nick combined.
3. Our bench gave us better minutes than theirs did! And that’s obviously with Tyler starting.
4. Perfect at the line until Nathan missed three in a row late.

Well everyone I certainly ate my words today. I watched the game with a bunch of family and friends who are all Spider fans and I had a very good time watching the game. It honestly felt like 2010-2011 again when I felt like we could beat anyone in the country. I have mixed feeling of being very happy to see Richmond win but also thinking even more about the last 10 years that have been a complete waste, today sort of maximizes that frustration even more. That being said UR has some DOGS on their team. They did not shoot the ball particularly well and in the past never would have won a game like this shooting so poorly. It was really fun to watch the guys get after it and win one of the biggest games in program history. I told y’all I wouldn’t deny Richmond is a good team if they beat Kentucky and I’m definitely not denying it now. This team is really good.
