Wow, what a massive game today! Actually feeling really good about this one. This can be a huge program lifting win. I am feeling very good about the game. What does scare me is A) Kentucky's raw talent, size and athleticism. We got some easy finishes at the rim vs Morehead, we will need to make more shots and more difficult shots in this one. B) Kentucky does have some experience, not all 18 YO's as some are saying. I expect the Creighton transfer to stabilize the back court and Sarr the front court. C) Sherod - I think this is the kind of game he makes a huge impact - with just all his court savvy and ability to hit a 25 footer. Looking for Burton to prove me wrong - but I think this is the kind of game his athleticism is negated a bit - going up against similar size and athleticism.
That said I think we can win and this will go down to the wire. If we can get the W this puts us in the national conversation and back in Goodman's top 25 along with SDSU.

Sarr was just the only big stiff they could sign at the 11th hour. Grant will embarrass him and cause him to foul out. Gilyard is going to pick some pockets today, and Goose will lock down on D too. Boston will get his points but their young guys will be frustrated by our offensive movement. UR 81, UK 73.

Mooney is going to eat Kentucky's liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti

Responding to 'c', you know sherod is out for the yr...right?

Disappointing to see Weir not dressed again. That said, I don’t think putting him up against Kentucky as his first game experience would be terribly helpful to either us or him unless it was garbage time stuff. Most importantly, I really hope this is just a minor blip for Andre.

I believe we were undefeated in red last year, but someone check me if I'm wrong. Maybe today is the day we kill the red curse once and for all?

I really can’t believe anyone on here thinks UR actually can win this game. Kentucky wins by 20+ easily.

Here's something interesting: The last time Sarr played against us was two years ago for Wake. He fouled out with 5 points in 16 minutes. Grant had 24 points in 32 minutes. They were both sophomores. Anyone think he's magically improved exponentially since then? I don't. Grant should feast.

And honestly, with the caliber team we have this year, no one in the country should be beating us by 20 points unless we have a bunch of injuries or a few guys who foul out.

Meh. He's a tall dude who was in demand because there weren't many other tall dudes out there. He's pretty pedestrian as a player.

Here’s hoping Old Folks Country Sausage keeps the momentum going and buys a few ad slots on ESPN today.

No way we can take this many bad shots early in the shot clock the rest of the game...

Early touch foul on Grant is a killer. He had to let Sarr go right by him to avoid risking his second in just the first couple minutes.

Grant in a tough spot already. Tyler needs to go straight up on his jumper. Leaning backwards

Letting them play inside a bit. Makes that early touch foul on grant look Pretty bad. Tyler has been fouled a few times with no calls.

Shooting 21% and getting pounded on glass. Lucky to be in it.

or Kentucky is lucky because if we could shoot we’d be well out front

Blake Francis is the worst player on the court and it isn’t even close. How can Mooney sit in the timeout and tell the guys to keep jacking up bad shots with 25 seconds left on the shot clock?!

We are playing great defense, not lucky to be in it. And not giving up a ton of offensive boards. Blake needs to stop forcing his shots early in the clock. The whole team is cold but Blake is the only one taking bad shots early in the clock. Feed Cayo.

Blake has had some good open looks early in the shot clock. If we have an open shot, with one of our best shooters, we should take it regardless of shot clock. We’re not going to win this game by playing Wisconsin slow it down basketball.
