JMU to the Sun Belt?

Don’t look now but Sun Belt has more ranked teams than the ACC.

That's not saying much.

We have nothing in common with these large state universities: Delaware, Rhody, Maine etc. While everyone is jumping conferences, we should align with mid-Atlantic/southern based schools similar in size & mission. How about a FB only conference : UR, W&M, VMI, Elon, Citadel, Furman, Wofford ? Add one or two more ?

This sounds like the mythical Magnolia League idea that floats up every few years.

I like it, but it would take incredible visionary leadership to pull it off. There doesn’t seem to be much of that in the Robins Center, but maybe it exists elsewhere in the dream?
