Every game matters but the KEY games to me:

Nov.19-21 Fort Myers Tip off if we get a win here that would be really great.

Nov.28 at Georgetown playing at Big East venue it would be nice to get a win here.

Jan. 19-Jan.30 (At Davidson, at St. Joe, St.Bon, at St.Louis) Very tough part of schedule?

Feb.13 at VCU can Mooney really win again at VCU?

Mar.2-Mar.9 final week before the A-10 tournament (VCU, UMASS and Davidson at home)

Mar. 13-17 Atlantic 10 tournament Barclays Center Brooklyn

I predict we go 17-14 this year and finish 8-10 in conference play. Which would be a 5 game win improvement.

I say 20-11 overall and end up 12-6 in conference play. This team really came together last year and I think will keep improving as the newcomers adjust. I think Buckingham was great in stretches last year, but may have harmed team chemistry with his off the court behavior. He may have prevented Nick from becoming more of a positive influence on the team. That should change this year. He looked like a leader Saturday to me!

20-11 is going strong to the hoop. I'd be elated if we ended up there. I hate to say it, while I hope we're really good, if we're not, then prefer we end up really bad. I don't want any gray area at the end of the year if we're going the right direction.

Honestly, with our weak OOC schedule and team make-up, this is going to be the only key games of the year. I have little doubt that we will role out a .500 type year, because Mooney is a .500 coach. When your a .500 type program, the only games that really matter are the conference tournament games.

Go-06, thanks for identifying some key stretches of the season. I have printed off your post, above, and will be keeping a particularly close eye on those games. Thanks!
