I think we have DL and TE covered. Like to see some more OL and some more DBs.

I spoke with one of the Coaches that let me know there were recruits on campus tonight -- any info?

So we are comfortable with our QB status? I am one who feels you should sign a minimum one each year.

We definitely need another quarterback in the program. Are we sure that Drake is a quarterback. If not, we only have 2 qb in the program. We're an injury to Lauletta away from a big problem there.

Found out today at the Ladies game that Will Geraghty, 6'5'' TE/DE from Atlanta Ga. has committed to a football schlorship with us. He also plans to play baseball & is a highly regarded righty pitching prospect. Ladies looked great in beating Geo Mason.

Will Geraghty, Lovett, Sr., 6-5, 230.Lovett went 9-4 and played in quarterfinal of Georgia Class AA title run.Geraghty was named to 2nd team All State Class AA as a WR.No other info available it seems including unofficial/official verbal commitment.

PA ask and you shall receive, we got a commit from your way Kevin Johnson, Pace Academy, Atlanta. What can you tell us about him -- put your spys to work!

I can tell this he is smart. Pace has high academic standards. I love it when the Spiders tap into their Georgia pipeline.

Kevin could be a good one; chose Spiders over Boston College and South Carolina.

Kevin Johnson

Not only did he pick us over JMU, he decommitted from JMU in ORDER to pick us. This kid is awesome already!

due to his comments, assume that we have recruited him as a qb. good pickups from the atlanta private schools ranks.

Call it a wash because yesterday QB Rashad Robinson from Hermitage picked JMU over UR. Think he was being recruited as an ATH though.

I'd love for us to be recruiting 6-3 drop back passers at QB rather than 6-0 'dual threat qb'. Frankly, I'm surprised we are going in this direction 2 straight classes.

With that said, welcome KJ and I hope you end up as an all CAA QB!

Interesting read of some of the Barney comments about this decommit. I won't mention what they wrote because many of you would get po'ed at me for putting their comments on our board.

Egad, this is my 1000th post! 32Counter I'm sure you are delighted!

32, Rivals or Yahoo doesn't show UR on the list, but I know for a fact that UR offered Robinson a scholarship. Rocco was in his house a little over a week ago. His final two were JMU and UR, and he didn't want to play for Nevada due to the distance from home.

know zero about it but do know that being in one's house does not mean a scholarship was offered. know that our programs have given local kids a lot of love even though we knew we would not or could not offer them a scholie. it is a nice thing to do and it pays dividends down the road.

Michael Strait at 6'0" 190 out of South Forsyth HS, GA is labelled as our #14 verbal commit. He will play both baseball(which has been previously announced by Tracy Woodson)and football. Is there any football information about Michael. He appears not to have been rostered this past Fall nor any football info.

Spinner, I find it hard to believe that when a head coach does a home visit that a offer has not been given`.

not saying that an offer was not made only that i do know that we (UR athletics) have in the past recruited local guys knowing we could not offer them.

What an impressive list of BCS schools that showed interest or offers for Johnson. Should I assume we may have won out because we told him he can play qb, while others wanted him for something else?

Maybe signing the Geraghty kid turned the tables in our favor? Seems like they are friends going back a little ways.

Are we done at 17 verbal commits(including Michael Strait) including 3 already transferred and enrolled or do we have some more openings available? Not sure of how the math works.

Thought we were finished ,but I noticed recruits at the women's game on Sat. with our staff and their parents.

R&B Fan, it happens all the time. Happened to us. An in home visit does not mean an offer.

Tomorrow will be an interesting day. I think there will be a surprise name or 2. I have heard that 1 or 2 currently rostered players won't be back, so there should be room for a couple more commits.
