Maybe I missed it, but had the 2025 Carolina game and 2026 NC State game been previously announced?

I like those drivable BCS games down south! Brings back memories of fun road trips from younger days!

Like seeing VMI back on schedule too!

Go Spiders!

Getting VMI and Furman back on schedules is nice to see. Gives Spiders a Southern Conference team each year for a while on the schedules with Wofford already set.

Quite a bus ride to Furman. 2003 was twilight game down there and team got back to an empty campus about dawn on Sunday morning I believe, that had no power. Do not remember the name of the hurricane but it knocked power out all over city. Team, I believe had campus to themselves as they had to stay and practice for the next Saturday game. Could have been another game but I think it was this one.
The long rides home for each team might have discouraged scheduling for the last several years, but hopefully Southern Conference teams give better shots quality wins.

The 24-20 game at Richmond was actually the 2005 playoff game I believe, a true heart breaker.

2005 playoff game was a definite heartbreaker. Really bad spot didn’t help. Hightower would have gotten the first down - he was unstoppable that game. What a preview of great things to come.

Jerome Felton and Martin Ingle had just enough for the Paladins to take down the Spiders at City Stadium that cold, early evening game.Remember it so very well.Stacy Tutt had 250 combined yards of running and passing and Hightower had 100 yards rushing.Adam Goloboski LB for UR was all over the field.

Bit of an odd pickup today by FBSchedules considering the Wofford and Howard games have been known for a while, as evidenced by this thread.

No idea yet on how the Patriot move will shake up our OOC arrangements. Obviously we're committed to figuring out how to get W&M in there annually (assuming they don't follow us).

If nobody else immediately follows us to the Patriot, we drop from 8 conference games to 7, so not a big deal adding W&M in there from our perspective, but the Tribe would be more affected with their smaller number of OOC spots.

Lehigh OOC in 2027 and 2029 obviously goes away.

Crazy scenario: What if the Patriot league kept conference games at 6 and allowed 6-5 OOC depending on the year?
Interesting thought. We would only have ourselves to blame if schedule was not tough enough to impress committee.

Tentative dates with the Tribe through 2030 have been arranged.

“We have tentative dates through 2030,” Butler said of Spiders-Tribe meetings. “We’re committed to it. They’re committed to it. I think they value the rivalry as much as we do.”

The Spiders have already completed nonconference scheduling for 2025 and 2026, and have one open date to fill in 2027, according to Butler. Next season in nonconference competition, UR will play at North Carolina, at Wofford, and at William & Mary, and host VMI and Howard. [...]

In 2026, the FCS reverts to an 11-game schedule and UR will play at N.C. State and Howard, with Furman and William & Mary visiting Robins Stadium.

Non-conference meetings with other CAA programs are also likely going forward, with Elon being a good candidate.

“I think there’s a good chance for that,” Butler, who oversees football scheduling, said of future nonconference dates with CAA Football members. “I think we’ll be very selective on which ones that you see pop up.”

Butler recognized the consistent quality of the Elon program and the attraction of playing in North Carolina, where Richmond has successfully recruited over the years. Elon is a relatively small, private school, similar to Richmond, with solid football tradition.
