Thought there should be a thread on the trip. Today the team is learning about the national game of Irelend, Hurling. Brought to mind hurling following a fraternity party; probably not the same. OSC

Rebecca Barry can teach them a thing or two about hurling. She is in Ireland now.As this UR video shows,it's a hurling move which gained national viewing and an ESPN Top10.

very cool. imagine you just graduated high school, about to go to college, maybe never travelled outside the US, and you're suddenly shooting skeet in Ireland.

Does anyone see Nick in the ending group shot? Or am I missing it?

I don't see him in the photo, but he's on the trip. Maybe he took the photo or had to run to the water closet. :)

Wow- what a fantastic experience for our coaches and team on the Emerald Isle! It is "cool" being there in more than one way....................

I think it is important to remember the goal of these exhibition games is not necessarily to win. Mooney will be trying out different lineups, and different plays that may not give us the best chance to win, but are important for determining what we will do during the regular season and what needs to be worked on. The other team may be doing the same thing. Take the results with a grain of salt.

Actually the grain of salt cuts both ways ;). Whether good or bad, it may not directly translate to the regular season as a whole.

Conor Smith lit it up in Spain, then never saw the floor. These trips are very cool for the team but the games don't mean anything. Still ... I'd love to watch a live feed!

Good thing is opponent is doing the same...............who is the lady talking to the young child sitting very close to the mike?

I don't recognize #7 for us. Fore? My connection is very bad here for some reason. Any help?

Ireland paying some guy $20 before the game to line the inside of our rim with Vaseline is really paying off for them so far....

Difficult to figure out the score other than knowing that Shawn'Dre was lighting it up.

They let the guys pick whatever number they wanted for this trip. Grant scored 4 and Sherod 11. Buck played solid minutes and was going strong to basket. SDJ looked like he could play for anybody. TJ was TJ, looking to involve everyone with his passing. FT shooting has a long way to go. Fore handled the ball well and the new big fella had 6 rebounds. Not rose colored glasses, I saw all the other stuff, but it's early.
