I think Vegas will have us as 10 point underdogs, and in reality we will lose by more than that. Dayton has our number, probably more than any team we play on a regular basis. Plus, I don't believe CM has ever won against an Anthony Grant-coached team, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

On the computer if you hover your mouse over your username in the top right corner on the left column 2nd from the top it says "signature". I haven't done it, but I am imagine that is what keefusb did
The real question is
If we score over 70 will we still lose?
If we score under 70 will we still win?
At least you're not like Larry Michael for the Redskins and predict a victory every time. You have some level of reality and not rely on some "Spidertangibles" category.
Spiders a +9 betting dog and kenny has Dayton by 10 and other sites I see have 10/10+ Flyer win.
If UR shoots well (38/40%) from deep they can be in just about every game. Dayton allows the opposition to shoot plenty of 3s while not allowing points inside as much. Spiders should get their opportunities from outside.
Dayton not big or deep squad. Going by stats on offense their point distribution mostly comes from 2PT baskets. Don't attempt many 3s and only 1 player is successful from deep. The way UR has gotten beaten by teams going to the basket, on paper this appears to be a good case of Mooney trying a zone defense.
Couple key matchups in GG vs Cunningham and JG vs Crutcher. Biggest concern for me is WILL THE DEFENSE STEP UP in their performance? If so will be impressed that Mooney's team is getting better losing the game say by 4/5/6. Combine that with a 40% 3PT shooting night and maybe a big upset. I doubt it but trying to look at the glass half-fill. Go Spiders!

Prediction is that there will be some talk about how a young team was able to go into a difficult place to play and really compete.

Absolutely embarrassing officiating. Mooney must have hired these guys so that he wasn't the most incompetent guy on the floor
We already suck as is. No need for these officials to give Dayton every call on top of that. Jesus.
This is painful to watch. We are completely one-dimensional with our offense which is shooting only 3’s and we have a 21% field goal percentage right now. Also, I’m pretty sure nearly every one of Dayton’s non-free throw points has been from scoring within 3 feet from the basket. Teams will be exploiting our lack of interior defense all season long
Just the fact that mooney can't coach free throw shooting is enough for me to have him fired. Every year after every year Richmond players are terrible in the clutch. No matter how good a FT shooter a kid was in high school, they always seem to get worse. Is the foul line closer in high school. Why would these kids digress? Must be the coaching or lack thereof

If Johnson is our 5th best player then we just need to mail it in until we get a coach who can recruit.
We have no answer for Dayton’s zone defense. This game is Mooney’s biggest deficiencies as a coach in a nutshell. The inability to have a more versatile offense by only shooting 3 pointers, which has been easily defended with the zone defense. Also, the lack of recruiting size to defend the interior. Dayton has been scoring at will from the low post. This is what good teams with size will be doing to us all season
So we decide that since we are such a terrible 3pt shooting team and such a great 2pt shooting team (something like 16th in the country) that a good game plan is to chuck up 20 3s in the first half and only attempt 6 2s. Great strategy, great coaching.
Also, Sal and Andre are clearly not ready for A-10 play. Kwhan and Buck definitely would not have been better options....

Our offense is so much more prolific without the non shooters Buck and Fore
If I was a coach be my number priority for my team. Grant prepared his team to do so and Dayton patience is paying off. And way too easy in doing so! Thank goodness Flyers only 1-9 with 3PTA.
UR, today dying with the 3PT shot. Paint points 24-2 in Dayton's favor. Mooney must be a really annoying coach. Guy doesn't seem to know how to get on the good side of officials.
