Actually,i’m a little pissed off because I was intending to the “Wheels Up,Wheels Down” segment between RIC and HPN.
So we got a check from BC for $450K and have a $2.6B endowment.
We flew to/from Boston plus buses,hotels and board=$50K
UR netted $400K
UR will bus to Nova,UD,JMU
UR will fly to/from Orono,Maine plus buses,hotels and board=$50K
Why didn’t we fly to NYK to play Fordham?
Would we have flown to MacArthur Airport to play StonyBrook?
Not sure I get the reason for a bus ride tomorrow especially given last year’s mid week bus ride experience traveling to Loretta,Pa to play St Francis which turned into an 8 hour journey.
Feels like Russ and the team got shafted.300 pound guys sitting for 8 hours is absolutely crazy.Russ should have invited Queally and Chemotti along for the bus ride.

I paid for 2 Star hotel accommodations for tomorrow night with a thin and worn mattress and threadbare towels.Most color TVs get 12 channels including the Weather Channel.Some channel selectors don’t work or can’t be found.Call ‘0’on your bedside telephone and ask for batteries or a new channel selector.
Try the breakfast buffet at 8am on Saturday .The egg yokes are a little hard but the bacon is crisp.Easy on the dairy and no caffeine.
At 10am Saturday morning put on a football uniform weighing 20 lbs along with a football helmet.
Go to the Bronx zoo and run around for 2 hours beginning at 1pm after working up a sweat.Temperatures should hover around 80.Bring along a tackling dummy.Make believe you are tackling someone or something.Wear your girdle if your hernia is acting up.
Take a shower at 4:15pm.
Go to Port Authority or Chinatown and hop on a bus at 5:30pm for the 8 hour bus ride back to UR.Grab at least one box dinner without too many preservatives.

Contact Sun Country Airlines and have them quote you a 737 for 80
people from RIC to Hanscom Field a year from now with a guaranteed non refundable deposit and non cancellable contract.We did not fly into Logan but rather Hanscom Field.Make sure they know that.

So, what was the quoted price? Did you get a round-trip price, with a one-day layover for the airplane? Your post says you only flew one-way.
First off, the travel party is far, far bigger than 80 people, unless you only want to bring about 40 players. There are 18 men on the coaching staff alone, to say nothing of trainers, administrators, support staff, the AD, development staff, broadcast crew, etc.
The charter plane is only one expense. Charter a bus to and from the stadium. Hotel, probably 40-50 rooms. Catered dining, etc.
Talked to a head coach at Oregon State at lunch today. The team charter for OSU football costs in the neighborhood of $125,000-$150,000, never mind food, lodging, etc.
But hey, if you can get the team from Richmond to wherever and back, house them, feed them and cover all the other incidentals, for only $50K, you should be their director of operations.
PS: You probably don't want to make a non-refundable deposit or sign a non-cancellable contract. Totally eliminates any flexibility, what happens if a hurricane hits the East Coast and the game is moved or cancelled?

What was with that on-side kick? I'm no expert, but isn't that kind of tactic normally employed late in games when the kicking team is down and sorely in need of a touchdown?
It was a great call - we had it scouted well. Just poorly executed by the kicker.
Our pass coverage is really just not good. Soft coverage, blown coverage. Letting Fordham move on easy completions.
The success rate for onside kicks is around 15% over the last decade. Too early in the game to being doing that.
Our kick off coverage is so bad that we really don’t lose much field position if it fails.
