@ Fordham 1/18/2022

If that T was just for Gilly looking at the bench… extremely soft. Would imagine he said something

Fordham with 8 3s so far. We bring out the best in everyone.
Up to 11 now.

Gilly was busting on GG on the postgame show. Grant was soft but he was not -- then laughed, clearly a joke, enjoying the win. Hope Grant is well, he deserves to play the season injury free.

question for those who’ve played beyond high school and intramurals. Burton hasn’t looked the same since scouts started watching. Is this a coincidence? Or does he press and think too much because of it? He doesn’t seem to force too much except when he’s backing down and trying to create.

Someone in another thread said they didn’t think it was loyalty to older guys but I simply disagree. So, if we are looking towards the future, that same loyalty will be showed to him.
Wow that might be biggest indictment of Moon if true. If we don’t have a meritocracy here I don’t know what to say.

i think it was sman who said it wasn’t loyalty but I agree. Now granted I’ve been befuddled by lineups Moon has put out there before no doubt. For instance I’ve been calling to let the goose loose for years. More in 19-20 & even last year when he wasn’t at full strength. I don’t think its now loyalty he’s playing but that he’s BY FAR our best option. i think basically all coaches go by a meritocracy & don’t think Moon is different tho I’ve been wrong before.

They couldn’t put the camera a little higher up in the gym? I can barely see half the court
No, they can't. It's a 3,500-seat gym built in 1925...they didn't plan for accommodating TV camera angles. :)

The "balcony" literally has room for two rows of seats bookending the camera platform in the center.

Guess it's only 3,200...my memory was off a bit.

It was originally 2,100 before they added seating at the ends, but apparently they managed to squeeze as many as 6,000 in a few times...just don't tell the fire marshal.

yeah it was me. I have no dog in this hunt but I think Mooney has been incredibly patient with Zay. kid has potential but he's been struggling for a while. tonight's run didn't help his cause any either. we all want Dji to get more chances but he keeps getting dinged.

Goose to me has slowly worked back into the rotation and has made the most of his opportunities. when you get your chance, you've got to run with it. Goose did over the past 3 games. he earned the start and I think he's earned keeping it.

I assume Mooney will stay with him too. not because he's a senior but because he's playing like our best off guard.

Goose is very quick and has good vision. He has earned the spot. I believe he has a better understanding of the flow of the game.

Goose usually is the guy who can drive the ball right to the basket when the rest of our offense is stagnant. I really enjoy that part of his game. He does play a little out of control at times, but the good outweighs the bad most nights IMO.

I made the mistake once of buying the lower level tickets at Fordham which were like double the cost at the time. We got into the gym shortly after purchasing them at the door and realized any seat is essentially the same ha.

I’m just going what I think or feel, doesn’t mean I’m right. Not sure if it’s an indictment on my part. A lot of you guys have seen way more 🕷🏀 than me and certainly know better than me in that respect. I think Gus is our best option right now and he was very solid last night. The one thing I will say about Gus or others that are given a legit shot(not 3 min here or there)…they usually perform well. When Dji & Connor have been given solid minutes they perform. In terms of Dji, he’s not a guy who you can throw in for 2-3 min and expect him to be a scoring machine. It hasn’t been his game ever. But give him a legit shot and he can and will perform.
