Here is my stab at the first round picks...

Fordham vs. Sacred Heart.
Eastern Ky vs. Indiana State
UNI vs. Stephen F. Austin.
Montana v. San Diego
Sam Houston v. Southeastern La.
JMU v. Liberty
Richmond v. Morgan State
Montana St. v. South Dakota St.

JMU could very easily lose to Liberty. This pains me to say but, if JMU defeats Liberty in the first round, they could win the whole thing.

^^ But they would have to beat us to do it. I would like another shot at them. The last time they broke our backs we won a national championship. We had a chance to meet them that year but they lost.

That would be fun if it happened. We can't play any worse than we did the first time against them.

Someone remind me how the bidding process works. Do schools submit all their bids prior to the playoffs round by round, amount by amount, or do they submit one bid amount and that carries through from one round to the next? Or do they have to wait until the first round is over to bid for the second round? (Obviously seeded teams keep hosting until they are out, I know that.)

On another board, I ready that JMU bid $150k for the first round, so I am wondering if that would carry through as their bid for every round or if they can re-adjust it. I think they bid a ridiculous amount to ensure that they hosted Liberty and not the other way around, and it worked.

The bids for all rounds are submitted prior to the end of the season.

Anybody that says they know what somebody bid doesn't know what they're talking about. We can't host Coastal but i think we'd have a decent chance of hosting later rounds if the matchups fell the right way.

So you think the Madison College home game against Liberty is more difficult than potential trips to Villanova, Jacksonville State, ND State in the subsequent rounds?

I do agree with all your first round winners.

Objectively speaking, JMU is the hottest team in the playoffs at this point in the season. They are peaking at the right time. They are a different team than the team that lost to Nova earlier this season.

IMHO, ND State does not make it to the finals this season. There has never been a team that has won 4 FCS national championships in a row.

I'm not specifically talking about North Dakota State.

Put simply, why do you think winning at home against Liberty will be more difficult than winning at Villanova?

Additionally, 'hottest' isn't objective unless we're talking Cougar Corner.

Actually, I picked EKU to lose to Indiana State. I thought that the Colonels would be too beat up after their pummeling by Florida to win a playoff game. I also thought that a MVFC team would be favored over an OVC team.

Coincidently, my sister will be around this weekend. At one point, Spinner wanted a picture.

Liberty is a better team than a lot of people give them credit for, I still picked JMU to beat Liberty. IMHO JMU could win the whole thing.

My round 2 picks are

UNH over Fordham
Chatty over Ind State
Ill State over UNI
EWash over Montana
Jax State over Sam Houston State
JMU over NOVA
THE RICHMOND SPIDERS defeats Coastal
SD State over NDSU

IMHO, NDSU does not make it out of the 2nd round. I rate the SDSU-Montana State game a toss-up.
