It's great- JMU is not on this list.

Are we actually watching the Selection Show today?

"UNI, Weber St, and Richmond are three 5-loss teams that all have great arguments to make the field. I expect one of them to be in."

Argument is we finished very strong and most of our losses occurred when QB was injured. Essentially that we are a different team with Joe @ QB which is true. I don't think it will happen, but I would love to be wrong.

its good to have a playoff dream right now they are playing well, the nightmare will be next year without joe , and no quarterback , ready to go. it will be a tough year i would think , but for sure would be better with a new staff, unless 6-5 it what they settle for . the playoff window closed for this staff, find a coach to build it back the right way

It's nice we went 6-5 winning the last four in a row. However, I don't see us making the playoffs 6-5. The record speaks for itself. Not having a backup really was the difference. Next year, a long rebuild. Since our staff isn't going anywhere. Stuck with the status quo. Like basketball compete.

So does JMU get an at large? Not sure the dynamics of that for the selection committee? Don't like the CAA mindset of taking them out of league championship and AQ. Same thing happened to us in basketball when we announced we were heading to the A-10. Whether you like JMU or not this is a petty move on the part of the CAA.

Nova got the AQ because they beat JMU

JMU will get an at large bid

Both JMU and Nova will get seeds(1st round bye and 2nd round host)

JMU will be a higher seed than Nova

If ever there was an argument against playoff expansion…it would be a 6-5 Richmond team featuring a Durden offense in the field.

that being said, I’d love to be wrong…and then go on a deep run.

Yeah but if you lose EVERY game when that one player is out in a sport with a roster size in the 50s, and those losses make up more than a third of your season, it's a much tougher ask than losing 3 of 31 games in basketball because a key player on a 13-man roster was hurt.

Imagine being URIs AD. He was the chair of the selection committee. Bet that's going to be an awkward conversation with the football coach.

Yes. I was starting to look forward to all the "Kenny's brother" jokes and crossover conversations about Spider Football being a part of the "No Shoes Nation".
