Agree, too passive. I mean just because of covid, you don't guarantee guys a forever scholarship. If you could get a Blair or a Rodney Rice, you tell Goose, we loved having you, time to go start your post college journey my friend. Mooney can't land those guys so probably a moot point, but just like the transfer portal, "amoeba" defense and many other things moon is behind the times and getting dealt.

Yes they have. Say what you want about Liberty but they have shown what happens when you care about athletics, put money into it and go to the ncaa tournament often.
And football bowl games. They had a QB transfer I believe from Auburn for the last 2 seasons, and he was very good.
We are not obligated to bring these guys back. Does anyone think any of the three possible returnees would be better than either Buchanan or Blair? I don’t.

Agree. Sometimes it's best to not think in terms of slots needed immediately or a specific postion player. Bigger picture is to look at the skill & talent of recruits. I believe Curtis is a skill we could have really used. In my mind this is a big miss by Mooney for a player we should have had one foot in the door.
No you don’t. The religious thing there is not as big a hinderance as it once was. Athletes are not too involved with it for the most part. Liberty is serious about sports. They are printing money over there and they know that having successful athletic programs increases their profile and makes people not simply think of them as “that weird religious school”. We could learn a thing or two from them.
