I can't tell if the crowd noise at today's game most resembled crickets or cicadas. I think it was more cicadas.

One word...apathy. Plus, we have a student body that could give a $hit.

Winning traditions bring in crowds

False, we won a ton under Rocco and still didn't show up.

Was at the game today, it's not saying much, but it was the best atmosphere of the season. Of course that was thanks to UNH fans, who traveled surprisingly well. My guess is Oxendine (For UNH) had a ton of friends and family at the game since hes local.

I imagine the next game will be a sellout, no thanks to our marketing and sales staff.

But if we cant sell out WM, which will likely be a top 10 opponent and for the conference championship we should be ashamed as fans, but we should also fire our entire marketing and sales department and put the money to something else for not picking up the slack.

If you take a gander over at the UR ticket site, there are entire sections available for the W&M game. We’ll see if that changes.

No doubt the attendance sucks. But I have a blast tailgating and watching Spider Football each home game. I continue to bring new famies to every game and they have a blast. I guess I just don't care anymore how many people are in the stadium. It's a great way to spend a Saturday. It's a shame more people don't take advantage of it, but it's their loss.

I guess it is a matter of how you see the glass half full or half empty! The Peanut gang added some old faces and brought a few new fans . 20 + yesterday. We yelled our favorite cheers yesterday and by the end of the 3rd quarter, had many young fans joining us as well as some red sweater
ones. It will take time but it sure feels great to be back in the “HUNT “. Go Spiders

I have a question, or maybe a thought.
it seems to me the poor attendance does fall in the lap of
our marketing department. But, it also falls into the lap of
our A.D.
If you’re a recruit, and you come to a game where “no one is
home” wouldn’t it be a negative? Of course it would.
Then this board and the A.D. are going to say why aren’t we doing a better job of
recruiting. Leaving the coach in a No win situation.
Hardt needs to get on the stick, and not blame the coach or even the marketing
department IMHO.

I don’t really understand our pricing strategy- there are games where we literally give away tickets for free and then games like this where tickets are either $35 or $60 - which seems like a bit of a stretch for FCS football.
