CAA football exposure/Media Day July 25 9:00 am

So this commissioner is having to settle for 2nd rate coverage. No NBCsports, no Comcast,
is this building up the CAA brand by putting them on my cell phone.

Looks like no traditional TV...

Not good for our top FCS teams.D'Antonio should have attacked this issue from Day 1 on 7/1/16 in office.
Not sold on D'Antonio. It may be early but we may have another empty suit in D'Antonio. He doesn't
have the right staff in place. He hired a Commisioner of Football but I didn't get his presence in Baltimore. He has no horsepower.
Won't be surprised some rumblings about D'Antontio among the heavyweight football members
and the heavyweight football associate members. These heavyweights have enough connections to cut their own TV deals without D'Antonio and the CAA.

I didn't get a high degree of professionalism watching today's proceedings.

When you reference the upcoming Ivy League TV coverage compared to the CAA it is an embarrassing comparison.

I love being picked 2nd. To me it seemed at times last year that we thought we could just show up and win. We saw in the stony brook game that that is not the case. Other games like Albany, Colgate, Elon, and even the Norfolk state game kind of showed the same thing even though we still won those games. We never showed the same intensity that we did in the UVA game the rest of the season and if we did we would have gone undefeated. This season I look for us to be motivated by being picked 2nd and by knowing that it's between us and jmu for the conference and maybe for the whole thing. I like Huesman to be that motivator to take us to a new level. Sort of like what Mike Houston did at jmu. The change was great for them and I'm hoping that it's the same way for us.

Agree. Being picked second can give you the proverbial "chip on the shoulder" and serve as a good motivator.

Is that Jimmye Laycock talking to Kyle? My guess is he is asking if he will have an eligibility left after he graduates. Jimmye thinking graduate transfer. Any one else care to venture a guess?

Jimmye is just jealous we have a solid QB and he hasn't had any kind of a team in a while. I have a lot of respect for him for staying at William and Mary for that long but to be honest he's not that great a coach. Especially recently.

Anyway, I was thinking more like, "Hey Kyle, good thing you didn't have my Mother or you would spell your name K-I-L-E."

He ought to be trying to get a tv deal together rather than messing around pretending to play football.

"Channels? We ain't got no channels, we don't want no channels. We don't need no stinking channels!" - D'Antonio

Looms like they just kept on smoking weed. You can't fix stupid with some of these guys. It's not that hard to just not smoke during the season.

I knew to check your board because it would be you or FRS talking sh!t like you know something about the situation. 4 of the 6 are carryovers from last year. The other two are suspended for 1 & 2 games which do not align with NCAA punishment for recreational drug use. I swing between laughing at you and feeling sorry for you based on your forum persona. Didn't UoR have a drug dealer on the team not long ago? I am happy that MH suspended them. No player is bigger than the team. Best of luck to the UoR football this year.

Hey man calm down. I heard from a friend of mine from jmu that they were weed related offenses. I didn't know that some were carryovers from last season. My bad for not reading into it more, just a classic example of me letting my dislike of jmu get in the way. There are plenty of really awesome people from jmu. I just happen to not like the team because of the rivalry. I have a ton of respect for Mike Houston unlike Everett withers and the Mikster. He's doing the right thing unlike some of yalls previous coaches.

Can you guys take this over to Snapchat?

Back to the subject at hand, just read that the CUSA and Patriot have struck a deal for broadcasting thru Twitter. Cool idea.

Still nothing from Parham and Patterson. Season kicks in 9 days.

Sounds good to me. I'd love to ride down to the CAA office this weekend. One more week to Gameday and damn am I excited. This weekend is my official tailgate practice before the real thing next weekend. The UR Sam Houston game will be going on during my first weekend in my new Blacksburg appartment, good way to break it in.
