When can players actually commit and send in their loi's?
I'm not counting him out until his name is on the dotted line.

Agree Mo, no way our staff didn't do all they could to get Grant's bro. Bryce made the choice 9 out of 10 of us would have made at 17 years old. Like I said before, great family and very glad we have Grant for 4 years.Well, this and a quarter won't get us a copy of today's RTD.
To be clear, I'm not bashing our staff here. An ACC offer is very difficult to turn down. This isn't some failure of Mooney and our staff. It's life as a supporter of an A10 program.
Of course we should be recruiting the best possible players and we are. We just seem to not get those guys the vast majority of the time. The Buck, Nick class was a pleasant surprise and anomaly for the past 6 years, including this years class.1. Over the last two years, we've brought in 8 freshmen and I believe we brought in our first choice for each position in 4 of those cases (5 if you count Marquis, who was an admissions casualty).
2. Aside from VCU and Dayton, who is regularly winning the A-10/P5 battle? Mooney won 2/2 of those battles with last year's freshmen class. Both Buck and Nick had in-state P5 offers.
3. Instead of the negative reply - take a stance. Go for the big guys and lose more often than not or go for the low guys and win more frequently. You not taking a clear stance allows you to complian every time, regardless of the staff's approach.
I'm not on Ulla's level when it comes to sunshines and rainbows. I had the fortune of meeting him at an event last year and we got to talk about that. I've also come to learn that there's a lot of people that are going to complain no matter what happens and look to place blame every time we don't win. I'm happier with the staff taking chances on guys that they're less inclined to get because of competing offers. We're going to lose more than we win, it comes with the territory.
We made the final two for a top 100/150 player and lost to an ACC team. The staff is already working on filling that spot and there is a lot of time until the early signing period and plenty of time for things to happen.
Nah, I steal stuff from 05's Twitter all the time. You always beat everybody...
I'm far from an insider so take this with a grain of salt. But publically it often appears that there is too large of a gap between option A and option B. Hopefully that is changing.Of course we should be recruiting the best possible players and we are. We just seem to not get those guys the vast majority of the time. The Buck, Nick class was a pleasant surprise and anomaly for the past 6 years, including this years class.
If we want to win at the Dayton or Vcu level we need to recruit classes like last years every year. If we are cool with being a fringe NIT program than we can keep doing what we have been for 5 of the last 6 years.
You probably do know why, the reasons abound: more rigid academics, lower profile school/program, theoretically less interesting style of play, perceived/real weakness in our coaches' ability to close, or a dubious show of post-season presence. We have debated the validity of these reasons ad nauseum, but as pointed out previously, sometimes a guy just feels at home elsewhere.I have no idea why that is, but it should not be the case.

Think Stallings is gone after this year. Don't know why Pitt got rid of Dixon
You can get exposure as an undergrad though. Pitt has an undergrad program in rehab science that specifically prepares students for PT school, among other specialties.PT school is AFTER you get your BS so bs
They didn’t get rid of him. He was under contract at Pitt for years to come. He had a chance to go back to his alma mater with the belief that they were finally in a position to make some noise, and he took it.
Dixons seat was definitely heating up, although perhaps unfairly so. They missed the tournament in maybe 2 of his last five seasons and hadn't done that well prior when in it iirc. I think folks kind of sensed he was trying to get out before he was forced out, but who knows how real that scenario actually was.My bad. But weren't the fans getting tired of him. Seems like on the articles I saw they weren't sad to see him go.
During the pregame for one of the early games yesterday the hosts all ganged up on Barkley for losing in the first round to the Spiders. Barkley mentioned Johnny Newman and coach Tarrant. Was at that game and can remember several times when Barkley was running full steam on a fast break and Spider players smartly got out of his way.
My best memory of that game is with a few seconds remaining and our lead at 3 Barkley thundered down the court at full speed and Bill Flye stepped aside as Barkley took it to the hoop for 2 points.
Yes, this is a very good player, like his brother. Mooney's got a lot on his side in this one. This is his chance to beat out the big boys, and there will be big boys in on Bryce.Watch Bryce in these highlightsof the MAC championship; sure could use his skillset!

Right, I am just trying to see who is going to approach him, a lot of new P5s or some of the old ones before he committed to Pitt...This is based on very old information; only thing new is he decommitted.
Probably August 20th, so he can start classes. When does Bryce have to make his decision by?
