Based on NC State and ODU, I think we are seeing our primary subs
while seeing some lineup change ups based on size. Hope to see more full court
pressing to wear teams down. Here are the primary subs the rest of way with competitive
games and no injuries.

Subs
- Crabtree
- Sherod
- Grace
- Dji
- Goose

Mooney holds a strong hand here. We enjoy a deep and versatile bench. Should be able to adjust line up to exploit opponents' tactics on O or D.

Agree 100%, we have the personnel to press frequently and should make use of it.

I just want to shout out to the deep-end of the bench.
Kulju, Randolph and the others ... really great job with the energy and support. it's noticeable to the fans and I'm sure greatly appreciated by the guys on the floor. it makes a difference.

I love Randolph’s energy…he knows he may not get any time but he is the fire on that bench. Love it and just think when he does start playing the energy he brings could be become contagious 😀

As 97 said on another thread, with our depth, no one should be playing more than 30 minutes. We've seen too many late game tired legs over the last 4/5 years. I would love to see Grace's minutes increase. He gets out of position, and his shots aren't always dropping. But when he's in, he's always hustling. His timely shots always seem to spark the team (and fans). He's not afraid to rebound! I think we need to see much more of Grace and Golden in at the same time if for no other reason it's a much different look from Mooney teams. Mooney has been here so long that A10 coaches have him figured out pretty well.

Totally agree SpiderDad. Marcus is going to bring it and I think that will bode well as the next generation of Spiders take over. I think attitude is a key part of the game.

I’d love for Randolph to get a couple of first half minutes when we need a pop of energy.
I wonder if Mooney and/or Randolph regret the few minutes Randolph got in that one game... seems like a complete waste of a year assuming he can't redshirt...

I'm sure the situation was laid out for him at the beginning of the season and he was given the same opportunity to redshirt as the other guys. The logjam at his position was clear, so I don't think anybody is surprised by his lack of playing time. For whatever reason, he just wasn't interested in taking the redshirt.

I believe you have some flexibility to still redshirt if you play in fewer than ten games correct? Not that it seems likely he’d do that knowing what he was doing going in…

Not unless it's a medical redshirt. If it's a regular redshirt, even 1 minute of playing time disqualifies you.

There were talks to adopt something similar the football rule that allows you still claim a redshirt year while playing in a small number of games, but it didn't get passed this offseason. I think they're waiting until some of the COVID extra year stuff works itself out.
