We gave up over 50 points in the second half. Mooney can't coach defense, clearly.
We competed and only lost by 6 points. Hardt says he is proud of finishing 6-5 in football. So being 3-3 in basketball is a small improvement.
This was the Drake game down to a T. It's unreal how soft we are. Nothing will ever change. Thanks a lot, Mooney. Hope you had fun going on all the water slides while not paying attention to how to coach defense. Idiot.
This is just where we are as a program. And sadly too many of the people that count would say that tonight was a success.

We have seen dozens of these games the past 10 years. They are all exactly the same. We all have that sick inevitable feeling even when we are up by 10.

In my mind, coming into this season, my thinking is that this should honestly be a trip the NCAA tournament or get fired type of season. Do I believe that that is the case? No. But I would be curious to know if Mooney has been given any ultimatums for season performance, and even more so would like to see how he responded to such a thing. Maybe if he knew his job was on the line, he would rise to the occasion. Because the last 10 years have seemed way too complacent, to put it mildly.

Honestly, a better sentence would be for them to get train rolled by Mississippi State tomorrow. I had hope that this team had learned something from last year, they haven't. Or that maybe Mooney's new assistant coaches would instill a sense of toughness and moment in our players. They haven't. We're looking square at 4-6 seed finish in a down year for the A-10 and some type of NIT bid.
You guys are the worst fans ever. I joined this board as I thought it was cool that a group shared my passion for this team and program, especially given our relative size. I was wrong.

Ah yes us fans should just be happy for not having played in an NCAA tournament in over 3000 days. Honestly, this board is fantastic. At least the regular posters on this board can call a spade a spade. I'd buy a beer for about 90% of the posters on this board.

Most of us cheer for this team as a way to support a university that has given us so much. I want this team to win as badly as anybody but not at the expense of remembering why we are cheering for them. They are college students and not professionals, and there is a chance some of them read this board. Grow up.
So are all the players on the teams that we compete against. Theirs are consistently coached better. This crap is old. You don't need to grow up to understand that.
You must be of the mind set that everyone gets a trophy. If you only want to support the University send them a check. Sports are played to win, play by the rules, work hard, but I’m sure the players all want to win.

If your child went to UR and was getting C’s and D’s, would you tell them “wow great job I love you so much” or would you have to talk to them and help them do what they need to figure it out and turn things around. Blindly following and praising someone/something is doing them a great disservice
