3 4 defense this year?

Any chance we play a 3 4 some this year? We seem to have more talented linebackers than defensive linemen. I see Wortham is gone from the team and Kieran Gregory switched to linebacker.

Perhaps we could play Hodge and Howard as middle linebackers when Craig is the nose. When Craig is out, we switch back to a 4 3 defense.

Too bad about Wortham.We could have used his girth in the DLine at 5-11,290.

• Made four tackles and one for a loss against James Madison
• Had four tackles in FCS Playoffs game at No. 6 Coastal Carolina

No surprise about Gregory.He has had LB dimensions at 6-2,230 not DL.

With most offenses we play being spread,not sure how a 3-4 D would fare unless we had a ton of blitz packages.

3-4 is definitely what we want to do. It has been since DR got here and the personnel composition of our front 7 should finally have us positioned to do it.

Agree re: Wortham. Losing gim is a bummer.

Muse will allow us to play 3-4 even with Craig in or out. Hodge and Howard inside is a good group, but don't underestimate Trey Moore. Really good outside, as well as Kieran.
