Moon has a long history of this. Once his decision is made about a guy - - thats it. There is no coming back etc. As has been stated - - the next mistake is all the validation Moon needs about a guy he doesn't like. And he will never open himself up to criticism that would come if he let a guy out of the penalty box and he was good and then everyone was on Moon for why did you bury him etc. It works best for him to handle it just like with GW - - let out just til he makes a mistake to prove your point and then back to the deep bench again!

It's hard to follow the thought processes of a typical VDU fan.

My sense is someone was yelling eyebrows, while Max was shooting FTs, Phil's family thought Max was being called a Russian, and Phil's family got angry (maybe because someone called Max eyebrows, when they thought he should have been called a Russian?).

From trolling the VCU message board...
"They definitely chanted something at him for all his FTs and in the second half whenever he touched the ball. It was two syllables and sounded like “Russia” but I cannot confirm."

The family of some guy named Phil got involved....

I figured it was the loser Ram fan that dresses like a Pharaoh. No idea if that is still a thing but saw that guy 1st hand in the A10 tourney in Pitt. & it felt like a lifetime cause. like the ppl who pretend to be dogs, the Furries.

so who is eyebrows? Is this like an Anthony Davis unibrow? Gotta be fair game.

this is actually good intel to have for our game at RC. last year the Jaynel stuff was 1 of the better efforts ever from a U of R crowd. it actually helped our team. because the fans showed some "fight", the non haymakers kind. we know it's not going to come from Mooney. that win was on the fans. I should knock Moon's record down to 8-25. the game at RC could be Jaynel 2.0 so to speak.

As soon as they said fight on the broadcast, you knew it was gonna be a bunch of dudes in black and gold and probably wearing some glow lights, ram horns, or dressed in some ridiculous get up. They never disappoint.

What burns even more is looking at fellow A-10 opponents whose schedules are sprinkled with P5 opponents and respectable MTEs. If they can do it why can’t we!?

Maybe it won’t be so hard to schedule strong opponents in the 2025-26 schedule. We’ll be considered a “cupcake.”

Give the players and the fans something to get excited about!

I know what would kill vcu Net after 20 games? Losing to Richmond. As I think 97 mentioned they’ll be motivated to crush us Sat for NET. & they’ll be labeled as the more desperate team even tho we’ve lost 5 in a row & get embarrassed regularly vs vcu. Shouldn’t we be the desperate ones? No it will all be about just trying to compete against vcu energy. Strange. When we can give them a truly debilitating loss we can’t do it. Once under Moon. Great chance Sat but we know how that will go.
