Jenkins named Associate Head Coach of Men’s Basketball program - Radford University Athletics
RADFORD, Va. – Newly named Radford men's basketball head coach Zach Chu has made the first addition to his coaching staff official as Marcus Jenkins was named theradfordathletics.com
It also holds hardt accountable if the contract is public...if private, he can't be criticized....think about that...I guess it comes down to whether you value privacy or not. In this particular case it’s not really any of my business, so it’s a bit much to ask.
Maybe change to Section ESPN+I've had season tickets for over four decades. On average I probably missed one game each year between work obligations, weather, etc. This season I just stopped going to games after Christmas and haven't looked back. There will be two less season tickets sold in Section 5 for the 2025-26 season. Maybe I need to change my handle on here.
I dunno. Get your seats early next season, or if you wait too long the tics may be given to students at Tuckahoe Middle School.I admire your conviction. I have decided several times over the past 6-7 years going into the next season that I would not renew my season tickets but then break and decide to renew anyway, sometimes earlier in the offseason sometimes extremely late in the offseason but my seats are always still available no matter what, imagine that!
Totally agree and I am sure it would be easy to hire a social media person to assist as needed. I totally don’t get how Mooney gets so much credit for being a good representative for the University and at the same time is nearly completely invisible. Just like @8LeggedFreak said he is supposed to be the face of the most important team in UR Athletics, but he is nowhere to be found on Giving Day?It's the whole package. I get some guys don't want to go out and ask for money. Or go on social media. But everything he does screams NO Expectations. His interviews, lack of accountability, lack of social media, etc etc. It's everything.
You make a lot of good points and not disagreeing with you here. Would love if our MBB staff and team had a more vocal presence on social media and goals. Helps set the tone like with our WBB team. It's 2025, how is online invisibility not a negative? Is Chris Mooney going to stop by my house or send a carrier pigeon instead? He only has himself to blame if he needs NIL funds after not crowd-sourcing this opportunity in any way.
I actually thought the difference between their approaches to Giving Day is a perfect microcosm of the trajectories of the two programs.
From the women's program, I got tons of energy, excitement, enthusiasm, passion, and I got the impression that Roussell is busting his a$$ to build something.
Mooney was *completely* invisible. He's not even been in any of the men's social media pictures since the season ended, is he in witness protection? (Also, I don't think it's coincidence that the men team's socials started posting about players donating a few hours after people on this site were pointing out how none of them had.)
Maybe it's just one SID/SMM team lapping the other but damn. He's been here 20 years heading the flagship sport, he should be the most recognized "celebrity" on campus and the most visible statesman for anything the athletic department is doing.
4700 troll?I know good ol 4700 troll said its my fault (haha) , i drove off those condenscending prickleberries. But I was looking up somenthing and saw some posts whereas 80's was saying how moon and the NIL bros knocked it out of the ballpark bringin in AP and Dusan. Where I saw the drop and stop from posting was once everyone got a look (not us poor posters) but the 80s elites at the scrimmages. Crickets and understandbly so following giving up 78% FG in a preseason scrimmage. I think it was the realization that instead of knocking it out of the ballpark, there guys got picked off 1st base with the hidden ball trick drove those guys away, not big bad ol 23. Are there even emails for NIL or any discussion around it this offseason? Or is that not sensible?
The criticism I think is that they've focused on that perhaps to the detriment of the academic mission. They've been in a strong growth mode and accept ~80% of applicants. They also had some accreditation issues within the past few years.so now schools are being put down for having nice facilities and maintained grounds?
guess we're next.
Yes sir!!!!!! You tell us.y'all might want to tone down the condescension before calling others condescending.
just sayin'.
so now schools are being put down for having nice facilities and maintained grounds?A quote I once saw that's stuck with me is that it's a resort masquerading as an educational institution.
It's 2025, how is online invisibility not a negative? Is Chris Mooney going to stop by my house or send a carrier pigeon instead? He only has himself to blame if he needs NIL funds after not crowd-sourcing this opportunity in any way.I maintain that not having social media presence or posting stuff like this shouldn’t be viewed as negative, but the juxtaposition between our MBB and WBB approach is very interesting to see. On one hand, no video from coaches or players on MBB. Very few players/former players donating too. For WBB, coach Roussell is vocal about leading the grassroots effort to fundraise and bring excitement to the program. Talks about having big goals and achieving that. Not just tweeting, but also through videos. Also we can see donations from many current/former players and even players who are transferring. Don’t think it necessarily speaks to a stark difference in the mindset of success between the two, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the more vocal, generating excitement, forward thinking mentality our WBB coaches and players have are also producing results on the court that reflect that.
what was wrong with it? looks beautiful. The high point was definitely not High Point. It did help us define what we were not looking for in a college.
