Womens: NET '24-'25 Rankings

Dropped from 26 to 30 with the loss. Texas holds at #2 behind South Carolina.

Dropped from 32 to 35. Not too bad considering the final score, but the good cushion we had is obviously slipping away a bit. A gaudy A-10 record should still leave us in a good spot for an at-large though.

Tennessee moved from 28 to 23. Alabama moved from 21 to 18 after beating Michigan State yesterday. They'll be back in the AP Top 25 on Monday unless we knock them out today.

We're totally fine. I would obviously feel better without the Georgetown result, but the overall resume is great.... and will only look better as the season progresses.... and there won't be a single bad loss in conference. They're not built that way.

I wish they would've found a way today... but it was a very tough back to back for them.

Those Central Fidelity Classic tournaments we hosted in the '90s were pretty wild. I remember going to see us play UVA in that '94 game and sitting in one of the last rows in the arena because it was legit packed. And even then it was hard to believe we could get a program like Tennessee in our building.

As for 97's question, I know that about a decade or so ago, Maine hired its head women's coach to be its men's coach. As I recall it didn't go that well, but maybe the second time will be the charm...

I was there too. I remember the UVA players and the Tennessee fans.
Went the next year, and remember the UConn center.

Kara Wolters, lol.... yeah. I was there for those games also. I think our coach at the time had... um... some nice connections... unfortunately, she was the women's Bill Dooley.
