We're talking about the women. The first meeting between the Spiders and Hokies on the women's side was in 1987.

My bad did not realize the women had many big games.

Dropped from 26 to 30 with the loss. Texas holds at #2 behind South Carolina.

I thought we might gain a couple spots or at least stay even.

Dropped from 32 to 35. Not too bad considering the final score, but the good cushion we had is obviously slipping away a bit. A gaudy A-10 record should still leave us in a good spot for an at-large though.

Tennessee moved from 28 to 23. Alabama moved from 21 to 18 after beating Michigan State yesterday. They'll be back in the AP Top 25 on Monday unless we knock them out today.

We're totally fine. I would obviously feel better without the Georgetown result, but the overall resume is great.... and will only look better as the season progresses.... and there won't be a single bad loss in conference. They're not built that way.

I wish they would've found a way today... but it was a very tough back to back for them.
