Both teams struggled for the first third of the game, but all of a sudden Duquesne has started hitting and has opened up a 10 point lead as the first half winds down. Spiders better get it together if the streak is going to continue.

Nothing going right for the Spiders. 36–23 Dukes at the half.

Spiders are 2-for-16 from deep.

Wow. Can only hope it turns around in second half. Just to get back to their average they would need to light it up.

Spiders tried to get it to single digits, but ultimately fell short. Dukes win, 72–59. Gonna be a significant NET hit.

Final Duquesne 72 Spiders 59

Could have been worse as Duquesne turned it over 22 times.

Just hope it was one of those nights. 6-28 from 3 is not like Spiders.

Bad night for the ladies, but time circle the wagons and start a new streak!

Just one of those nights, couldn’t hit the 3’s or make layups.
That really sucks. As soon as we started getting votes for the top 25.

I don't think we played bad. Played aggressive and determined. There was no letup or overlooking an opponent. Just literally couldn't hit anything - layups or 3 pointers.

Spiders only up 3 at the half...14 Spider turnovers already!

With 28 turnovers. Geez. It's a good thing they shoot a high percentage for the times they manage to not turn it over.
Yep- way too many turnovers. Having said that, it's not a direct comparison to men's stats based on my eye test. In the women's game you will see a ton more traveling calls - including a bunch that are imperceptible to anyone except the three refs. You see a lot more illegal screen calls than in a typical men's game. And in today's game, we got multiple charging calls against us that would absolutely be called blocks in the men's game. We were way too sloppy with the ball today, but a lot of those same calls go against the opposition as well. One last thought - we attempt a lot of passes that have a 50-50 or less chance of working. It just seems to be part of this team's DNA. I'm sure Roussell isn't happy about the lack of care with the ball, but we are 18-4 and on top of the A-10.

actually tied for first, but we hold the head to head tie breaker at present.
