It is a great day in Corvallis, indeed. Still not gonna cheer for uo tomorrow. Go Rams.

4-30 from three point range. I don’t think the Aztecs could do this again if they tried

23- whats up with the Aztecs? #SVGSZN on those beers in your fridge right now?
Yes, as you probably noticed I had not been hyping this game. They essentially lost a "best class ever" last year. No proven guards this year and still 60 YO Dutcher and seniors willed them to the tournament. Bad match up against cause zone. Still Dutcher way overachieved despite starting PF out with vertigo most of the year, MW POY Mitchell shell of himself since knee injury. I think the fact that Dutcher is likely gone to Minnesota didn't help. Lot of discussion in SD media on Minnesota last 2 weeks. But 3 out of 4 years in NCAA, and legit chance at final 4 last year sure is a stark difference from our underachieving coach. I do like that will have some fresh blood next year.

You guys have not watched them this year, they have had multiple terrible shooting games. Worst match up for them but probably would have lost to anyone this year. Spiders had more offensive talent but Mooney wasted it with no defense or rebounding.

Agree EL, but he actually vacations in Minnesota, his dad was the last Minnesota coach to win the conference. And his contract has a 7 or 8 million buyout, except for one school, you guessed it Minnesota. 1 million buyout. But yes , I would not trade the weather. Will be interesting to see what happens. Of course our off season will be more nothing, other than speculation as to who comes back.

And will say I like Mooney better than Boeheim. Mooney has never committed Vehicular homicide while driving to a game, and then decided to still coach the game.
That is a BS post! He was not charged. I know the road he was on! Minimal lighting at best, weather conditions were horrid, george was out of his car in the rd late at night...accidents happen which why they're called accidents! Terrible situation for all involved but please ensure your facts are straight!

What kind of idiot leaves San Diego for Minnesota? I know he's from there, but he escaped! Don't go back dude!

Had an apartment once on Coronado Beach across the bridge. Man, I loved living in San Diego. Fell in love with a OT there who used to take me to Black's Beach. Unfortunately I was there for 4 months of training, and Henrico County made me come home after the training was done. I never knew what happened to Cindy...

Ohio knocks off Virginia! That guy Jason Preston is for real. 11 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists.

FWIW, that Toledo team that was called lousy by some here beat Ohio during the regular season by 17.

Yup, I don’t think that Toledo team was bad at all and thought the MAC was nice at the top. Not sure Ohio can hang with Creighton, but it should be plenty fun to watch

Agree, Boheim and Cuse are scummy. As much as I want to win and Mooney gone, would rather stay with Mooney than have Boheim.
You are full of it! With the amount of complaining on this board about lack of results, you would absolutely take him and his success!

Not really sure where to put this and don't feel like it needs its own thread, but Abilene Christian prez is saying their tourney appearance and first-round win has been worth over $120 million, including $74 million worth of exposure.

Obviously, numbers like that are super fuzzy, but still...

“There are other places a university can make significant steps, but I’d say nothing compares to the level of visibility and market value that comes with men’s basketball, at least for us,” Schubert said. “There is no way we can afford the type of the kind of investment return we get here. It shows you what an incredible opportunity these situations bring.”

Geez, our school is more intent on changing building names than winning basketball games.
