Oral Roberts is crushing Arkansas but can’t get a defensive rebound, so they’ve blown a 12 point lead. Even Mooney would blush at this rebounding. Arkansas +14 in rebounding and has 17 offensive rebounds. Oral Roberts has 4.

Just one single guy on Arkansas has 10 offensive rebounds. Their only offense in the second half has been miss a shot and get a putback.

And therein lies the beauty of being able to get offensive rebounds and winning on 2nd chance points. Make me envious. Just not a high pri with Mooney. Better to run the other way for prevent defense.

Arkansas makes what ply described as a winning strategy. Kudos for Oral Roberts getting as far as they did, pulling two upsets, and almost pulling a third. That too makes me envious. When is our time coming?

Agree with you 100%. It isn't a strategy if it only happens once and you just get "lucky with it". Arkansas has been down double digits in all 3 games so far and have fought and clawed their way back by hitting the offensive glass. You aren't going to have "it" every night, so you've got to find other ways to get points on the board. That guy ended up with 11 offensive rebounds (to only 3 defensive rebounds) and really feels like he was the reason they came back. I'm fine with most of the Mooney offensive system, but it really seems like we could hit the offensive glass...we were able to do it a bit in the first half against Mississippi State.

Just saw while watching the Houston Syracuse game that Jim Boeheim has 58 career wins in the NCAA tournament which is just an unreal number. I would like to propose that if Mooney wins 58 ncaa tournament games at Richmond that I will pay someone on here the amount of Mooney’s salary for 10 years. He’s got 56 more wins to go, better get on it.

CM would only need to coach here for 448 more years at his current pace to reach 58 NCAA tournament wins so I think your money is safe.

Another game that Houston wins solely by rebounding.

Oregon State has 22 defensive rebounds. Houston has 19 offensive rebounds.

Wish we could use even some of that strategy
