Will Gilyard break the NCAA ALL Time Steals record?

perhaps you didn't bother to watch the video of the alleged incident because you heard it didn't fit your narrative. Mo was sitting at the other end of the bar and never was near the girl. She later admitted after this was introduced that she was dishonest
You are being an idiot, I was not talking about Mo at all. I was talking about the incident with Briante that District Baller brought up on his way out of town. Now back in your hole. Did I mention Mo????????? Thanks for bringing it back up.

Must have learned that while acing my way through your school. You represent your school very well. I could name you many instances of players that have done things you have no clue about that have played for UR in the last 7 years, but to what purpose? By the way, throw troll and other comments out as you wish but I assure you my connections with former staff, players, and admin is stronger than yours. I think the best thing you could do at this point is to quit trashing your own coach and program during the season and try to be a supportive fan.
Thanks for the advice VCU troll. You obviously are a johnny come lately troll with little reading comprehension, despite your need to come on a message board and tout your academic worthiness. Funny guy your are. Now go pat yourself on the back and 4700 while you are at it. Such strong connections. I am so proud of you, anonymous troll.

Oh shut up you liar, you are a dishonest lying truther. When is our 1 on 1 for charity?

As with the VDU troll, You have very poor reading comprehension. I did not mention Mo the molester, others brought him up.
You are a bitter person. Please find your happy place. Go Rams!

I am bitter to Mooney. BTW, Tickman, I was not calling you the troll, troll. I was calling the other troll a troll. You are a tolerable troll because you realize the rivalry would be better without Moaney.
All cool over here bud. But you have to admit, Mooney has great hair. Only our ADs hair rivals it.

and I really don't understand the negative connotation with "troll". It seems to raise the dander to those that have aced the test though. At the troll farm, we get paid to troll? Oh well, almost halftime of Sixers-Celts. And then guess what trollnation, it's...............................................................................................................................................................FORE time!!!! and Mack!!! Though I know 4700troll is not convinced about Mack or Fore. Hahahahahah

Good post. Sorry for some of the uncalled for, childish posts by others on here.

I will be honest, I don't think any of us want you apologizing on our behalf as we feel strongly that you do not align with our opinions.

Go back and read trolls (not you tickman - I like your illustration of Richmond removing tick Moaney from our skin), Mo was not even introduced into the thread. Professors must be easier now to ace your classes chief. Well done.
Now? You assume way too much. My graduate work at UR was around '90-'91.

Now , back to the topic of this thread- Gilyard and the steals record. He could very well do that ( as to becoming All-time leader), it's a long road and getting some postseason games in will help. The fact that he has played starter minutes since he arrived is a big factor, Weber was a substitute and only drew minutes a game as freshman on a strong team). Watching Jacob last night and other games this year, his tenacity and his focus pair very well with his quickness and skill level. Also to be liked is that he was way more discipline that Weber and doesn't just abandon his assignment to take huge chances. There is nothing really not to like about JG.

Yes, I guess I would fit the "troll" as you called me but really only started looking over here some in the last couple years to follow how the "fans" were reacting to their coach and the challenges. Also, to see how they were or were not supporting a couple players with whom I had worked with early on that became Spiders. I have mixed feelings about the best direction for UR as to the coach, I am not a Mooney fan, but also think he is a pretty decent coach. At the same time, a big part of being a head coach is bringing in talent and keeping talent and he has had a hard time for years as to bringing in enough to sustain at the desired level. Sometimes that is bad luck, but if you have bad luck year after year then you have to look to the common denominator. ( see Redskins) UR, with Sherod, Buck, and Fore playing with the guys you have would have been at or near the top of the A-10 this year. Buck couldn't stay, Fore wouldn't stay, and of course the sad injury. Anyway, guys that are starting for you now would be very nice rotational bench players and you would have your depth. Time will tell. The pressure for change is pretty heavy on the UR administration from some stake holders, but sometimes change is not the best answer. We shall see. ( certainly, Mooney was not to blame for last night as to strategy or game coaching decisions, but it is his squad and he owns it)

With the focus on steels, it is important to also mention that he only needs 8 assists to pass Kenny Atkinson as the all-time Spider leader in assist through his sophomore year. In addition, he is only the 3rd Spider to lead the A10 in scoring during conference play. (hopefully I worded that right to make everyone happy).

Not sure what you mean. Kenny had 464 assists during his career. Jacob has 272, so yes, ahead of KA on pace but still well behind in total.

I don't remember if KA started as a freshman. Jacob has definitely benefited from being an early starter here. He is certainly deserving of it.

I am only counting assists freshman and sophomore years. At his current pace he should get around 550 over his 4 years.

I believe he is saying KA had 280 assists in his Freshman & Sophomore seasons combined...
