Why Starters will not transfer after next year if Mooney stays

I think our "grad transfer problem" is that each year we have had a significant roster hole, and we were unable to obtain a grad transfer to address the issue. Even though ANO never fulfilled his potential IMO, he brought a lot to the table and left a sizable hole when he grad transferred. Same with Fore. So no, we have not had mass grad transfer numbers, BUT as usual Mooney is way late to the game, and really has never even got in the game. Good job Coach stopwatch!
Exactly, when you have an open roster spot and the anointed best class ever as Juniors, it would be the perfect situation for a grad transfer that could potentially push us over the edge to nab an NCAA bid. Predictably, Mooney swung and missed at this opportunity. Always a day late or dollar short.

Mostly a day late, I'm sure he's seldom a dollar short.

Getting 18 wins and finishing fifth in the A-10. Don't see how we get a bid to the NIT. Should be shooting for a NCAA bid. However, it's the few crucial possessions where Mooney doesn't call a timeout. Where the opponent drives right down and scores. This feels like a year where we need to beat a top 25 team to even make the NCAA tournament. It's not going to happen maybe with a different coach or different strategy.

I can't imagine he said anything worse that gets said to me on a daily basis here.
Really? That's surprising; you seem to have quite the imagination.

Our moderators are pretty conscientious, and don't use the banhammer except as a last resort. The thread in question was deleted before most of us could see it but he definitely broke the forum ToS after repeated warnings, and my understanding is he violated University policies and breached confidentiality which is certainly unethical. You think you're subjected to worse than that on a daily basis?

Maybe shuffle the victim card back into the deck and wait for a stronger hand...

Ulla's frustrations got the best of him. he was openly mocked and criticized over a long period of time for how he chose to be a fan in support of the program. he was extremely positive and that rubbed some people the wrong way. it's a shame it came to that.

Didn't see thread in question but Ulla is a very loyal Spider and enjoy talking with him at basketball games.

I liked Ulla, and didn't like when people went at him (though I didn't care much for his "not a clue" trope). It's OK to be positive.

He knew he was breaking the rules and chose to do so anyway. It's everybody's loss.
If what I inferred is true, I hope he's not allowed anywhere near University Advancement again.

Look, Ulla was warned repeatedly that he was violating the core tenets of this message board. And yet, he still persisted at blatantly violating them. Ulla didn't get banned because he was rubbing people the wrong way with his endless positive posts. And you might think his posts were all positive but I remember him attacking numerous loyal posters and guests on here. Personally, Ulla and I had a great banter back forth, which I enjoyed.

But he crossed several lines you can't cross and our moderators rightly stepped in.

Didn't VTSpider/BHS_Spider get banned for the same thing as Ulla?

I miss reading Ulla regularly referring to the VCU campus area as crime infested. Even now i laugh thinking about those. I definitely didn't agree with either all the time but they're both true Spiders fans and brought interesting takes.

Heck they got banned for same thing around same time maybe they were same person? Ok no way ha.

But urfan1 and 05 have shown plenty of patience and leeway over the years to various posters imo, more than what I would have. So if you're over 14 years old and have been permanently banned from spidernation you've probably earned it.

People over 70 should be allowed some leeway. It's not our fault that we lose our filters (that's what I tell my wife).

For The Ulla, time out should be over...bring him back.
