Wed 12/4: Spiders vs Georgetown in the Robins Center!

Let's welcome Siobhan Ryan back and then send her home with an L. She's not having a great season at G'town so far...stats down across the board compared to her time at UR and not shooting well.

Press conference yesterday with Roussell, Doogan, and Ullstrom talking about the overall great start, the G'town game, and the gauntlet of the remaining OOC schedule:

Roussell had to look back to confirm that Alston was practicing and he said they hope to have her back soon, but no specifics on timing for her being game-ready. He also praised Sweeney and Newell for what they're doing at the point in her absence, noting we haven't lost a step there.

Richmond -17.5

We are getting reg season lines on women’s games! Part of that is we’re playing a p5 team but also partly bc we r doing well. That line is showing the Spids lot of respect.

17.5 is lot of points. I may have to put Georgetown as the pick in the betting thread.

That is indeed a heck of a lot of points.

ESPN analytics gives us a 93.2% chance of winning. I know we're good, but I think they're underestimating G'town based on a small early-season sample. I definitely think we should be favored, but this ain't a gimme game.

Agreed. We should be favored, but this is not an easy win.

As a further reminder to season ticket holders the game on Sunday against Columbia is NOT part of the season ticket package. I bought mine today through the UR ticket office and will be able to pick it up at tonight's game.

Back-and-forth first quarter ends with the Spiders up 14–10. Hoyas only shoot 3-for-15 and the Spiders dominate the boards as a result, but Spiders had 4 turnovers to only 1 for the Hoyas.

Spiders have 6 buckets from 6 different players. Hoyas had two points over the final 7:30 of the quarter.

It ain’t particularly pretty, but we’ll take it. Spiders only 1-for-4 from deep.

15-0 run for the Hoyas over the final 6:04 of the 3rd quarter. That was ugly. Time to lock in

Wow Spiders shot goes in, but time expired before got it off.

Georgetown took away the 3 ball for Spiders pretty much and found a way to win.

Spiders certainly did not look as sharp as normal.
