Can we give it a rest on the ken pom's and the margin of victory and the stats and just get behind our guys for the last month? The season will be over in a month. Simply put, Kendall Anthony deserves our best for the last month of his career.

And no, 'our best' doesn't include personal attacks, beating dead horses and other meaningless observations like student attendance And how deep our cheerleading bench is.

Come on Seabiscuit! Finish this thing!

A wins a win in my book and am always happy when we win. Got a big one up at Mason considering it's their homecoming. Let's even our record vs. Hewitt!

Thanks Mo, the kids have not quit, they are giving it all they can, so I will continue supporting them. I think each guy added something in their own way last night. Even Kadeem who played a limited number of minutes by knocking down a few passes and causing some TO's

Great game last night against a rapidly improving Fordham team. Fordham played severe freshmen who at this stage in the season played like veterans. The A10 is wide open and the Spiders have as much of a chance to win the tournament as any other team. Having said that, the A10 is looking more and more like a one bid league. At this point, teams thought to be shoo-ins for at-large bids (e. g. rpi) are playing themselves on to the bubble.

Yes, I'm still going to the games to support the team and yes I'm glad we won. But frankly if Shawn'dre had not gotten hot at the end we wouldn't have. No I don't think the effort was there, for 30+ minutes it was a pretty lethargic. That is not typical but absolutely true for this game, the players deserve a little kick in the rear. Yes I could and may give it a rest, but the problem is I don't see or hear any real hints that there is pressure to change and I guess we won't until 'next year' AGAIN and that is extremely frustrating. Which is why a lot of season ticket seats are empty.

Spider B, it was a two win night for me as well. I-M-UR, you are right in that Shawndre's 3-point barrage facilitated our victory. However, Shawndre is part of our team, so I wouldn't call the victory lucky; our "team" won.

Agree with this sentiment. Let's finish the season strong and build some momentum for Brooklyn. I do think anything can happen there, but we need to be playing good going in, and hopefully have Zo back. Checking the scores it was a kind of crazy day in the A10, besides Davidson, who seems to score 80 or 90+ at home quite often.

Season over in month? No way - we are going to the post-season.

CBI here we come - we want that banner!!!

So Ulla we never lost any games because of a bad break or unlucky?

They have the worst record in the league (although I'm not so sure they are the worse team) They play 4 freshmen in their top 8 players. They lead (and frankly out hustled us) the vast majority of the game. We win by two points at home, I consider us very fortunate (aka lucky) to win.

Can this team perhaps press for a full game and will we have to with our height/bulk disadvantage now with ANO out?

We were very fortunate and lucky to win. There is no doubt about that. But every season has a few games filled with luck. Maybe this was just one of them. Or maybe we can get "lucky" over the next 7 games. Or at the very least - the next 2 games, which are road games - so you know we need some luck there. Mason - probably just as bad as Fordham, but on the road - I bet we are the underdog. Bonnies - middle of the pack team just like us - but with it being a road game - we will need some luck.

Remember when we thought UR should get invited to the Big East? That would have been $500 million powerball lottery winning "Lucky" if we pulled that off.

We had wide open shots all game and finally started making a few at the end. Its not luck, its shooting percentage averaging out. I guess to some of you every time someone makes an open shot its luck? I am more concerned that we allowed so much dribble penetration in the lane all game.

I expected to see "we won, but ..."
there's some positivity in this tread. someone should lock it up. we don't want to feel too good after a win.

Anyone else have the feel last night of this being similar to St. Bonnie game last year. Just lost a key player but we gutted out the win. Also believe our next game after that was at Mason, where we got hammered, and then the season fell apart.

We play at Mason again on Saturday, I think that is a huge game for us. It is our easiest road game remaining, we really need to get a road W, or I could see the wheels falling off this train, until and if ANO comes back.

You know, I was thinking, if CBI is in our future, are the Redshirts available to play in that and not have it count against them?

^^Yes. Felt like last year's Bonny game last night and the following game at Mason hopefully has a different outcome.

Regarding the person suggesting we press the entire game. You are aware that we are basically playing a 6 man rotation, right?

no, they can't play.

I thought the press last night was very effective, but agree if we try to run that the entire game, we are going to wear our guys out. Kadeem and Josh are both great in the press. When we run the press, those guys should be in the game.

Celebrating a close win against the worst team in the A10 since we joined....Congrats guys. Keep celebrating mediocrity!

We sure got some timely traveling calls from the refs last night. They were definitely correct calls, but refs rarely call them at the end of a game. Also did you guys notice our net was messed up for several minutes and no one fixed it? It was bothering me so I know it bothered our shooters until it was finally fixed with a few minutes to go.

The only real problem with the press is with KA and SJ it's too easy for the opposing guards to throw over the top.

(throwing over the top) that's what makes the secondary press more important. I certainly don't think an all game press is possible. I do think we could press more, we do have a potential 5 guard rotation: K0, SdJ, TD, KS, & JK.

For a tournament like the CBI, they should let redshirts play. You aren't really playing for this year, its basically an 'improve for next year' tournament.

Would maybe gets some more teams they wanted, not that the talent pool is too deep.
