Going against a St.Bonaventure team on a neutral site. I know it was said earlier season. That on a neutral site Richmond would have beaten St.Bonaventure. Let's test that theory.
Going against a team that's won 12 straight games. If St.Bonaventure loses they won't make the NCAA tournament. I am definitely going St.Bonaventure 75-68. If we win find a way to win this game I definitely gain some respect for Mooney.

I actually think we win. It would be ironic that we would cost the league a bid doing so. That would be a red stain on their season. We didn't have Buck last time and still hung tough. Plus with Mooney having been told he needs to win the tourney or else Tubby Smith is moving into his house and taking his job next week, I think he's extra motivated.

One game at a time. Sbu is good but beatable. Legs are a concern but we looked pretty relaxed tonight. Could use a big game from Cayo tommorow. Our guards will have their hands full so we could really use a strong performance from the front court to help balance things out.

Spiders tough team to beat when ON offensively like tonight against the Dukes even considering their subpar defense. Exciting group to watch on the floor. Though I don't see them outscoring the Bonnies in a fast paced game. More or less a loss resembling the last time out against them. And if UR doesn't shoot well, might not be a close game. GoSpiders!

With this 7 playing the way they did tonight, got a shot against anyone in the A-10 I think (maybe not Rhode Island on their best day).

Also, a lot of analysts are saying the Bonnie’s are in regardless. I hope so. Dream scenario is for the Bonnie’s and Rhode Island to lose and for the A-10 to get 3.

If we beat Bona, they'd have an RPI around 29 at 24-7. Very solid wins at Buffalo, neutral vs. Vermont, home vs. Northeastern, at Syracuse, home vs. URI. Also decent wins over Maryland and Davidson. I'd be a little nervous, but I think they're in with that resume.

And the loss to us won't look quite so bad after we take out URI and win the A-10 auto bid.

I think Bonny has to win tonight to get in especially with what has happened in conference tourneys and what could happen. Middle Tenn losing has happened and I believe if between them and Bonny, they get the nod. MT is slightly weaker conference from dreadful bottom CUSA teams but has played 5 P5/6 schools to 3 for Bonny. MT OOC schedule >>> than Bonny and those heads inside that room can say what they want, but IMO anything P5/6 they prefer.

Need to play straight man and have KF check Adams. Can’t have GG trying to guard Adams or Mobley on the perimeter.

Eight, please change your prediction so we have a shot at winning.

The Bonnies are projected as a 9 seed right now with 12 at-large teams between them and the first team out. I don't think 1 loss to us would drop them 12 spots and keep them out of the tournament, especially with the selection debacle two years ago. Other at large teams have blemishes on their resumes that are just as bad or worse.

Correct Bonnies are in. Not sure that hurts or helps our chances. I think id rather them on the bubble with the choke factor in place.

One of the dynamics of game against Dusquesne that was great to see was JJ hitting his shots. Like his hustle and his scoring adds a lot to our productivity. Bench scoring has been a struggle much of the season and with bench scoring we can ratchet up the points and our chances against the Bonnies. Also think Rhody and Bonnies are in the tournament and the Spiders as the third team is a great thought!

So we can help them out tonight, by making them a 10 seed instead of a 9?

I hope they appreciate it...

I will be interested to see how we defend. Personally, I would put Fore on Mobley. I don't think we can stop Adams anyway, so the theory would be to see whether Adams can beat us by himself. Certainly possible, but if Mobley is open for 3s all day we're toast anyway so it's worth a shot.

KenPom says all VA teams 71.
SBU 80, URI 79, SJU 77

Put Fore on Mobley and Buck/Gilyard on Adams for a little muscle + quickness. Would love to see a double but hard to figure with their quick guard offense.

If JJ has another big game from 3 (and some flashes by Cayo), I like our chances.

But mostly, I want Rhody to send RPI back down 95.

Very strong finish this year I think . So Coach did good things and good recruits last two years . Very nice
Define the time line that is included in 'finish' Last 3 games (because it looks good) or say last 10 games (which doesn't look so good). You can pick the series of games you want to boast about; but the season is the season.

I'm confident in our guys. They played with extreme poise the other night, hoping to continue that.

Did you see VCU go to a 2-3 zone and get back in the game from 10 down in the first half. If even a man
guy like Rhoades can go to it, Mooney can learn from watching. But think it was effective cause Tillman was
in the middle and everytime URI challenged him in the zone they had their shot altered.
