Villanova In Game Thread

The offensive play calling is just terrible. All we needed there was a FG to end this game.

It is still 13-0.
16-0 with 1:43 to go. Looks like a really big win for the spiders. Defense played very well and offense made some big plays too. WE got quite a few breaks. Villanova committed many penalties.and their qb was out for the second half. Still a big win today. Good job, guys!

best game since UVA. Great win defense played well, Offense OK. I still don't know who they think they are fooling when they go to wildcat with KL going to wide receiver and Broadus running? Broadus's pooch kick was excellent.

Let's not play down to the opposition next week!
Coach needs to show our guys highlights of the Phoenix's win over the Indians on The Reservation.

If we would run a few play action and let DB throw a few high percentage passes I believe it would open up again

That was the oddest game I've ever been to. The fumble/no fumble calls were just bizarre - nice has their defense on the field so give Talley credit for the ultimate reverse jinx. The fumble recovery spot on #9s fumble I still don't understand (side note - that was a vicious hit, can't believe trainers had him back in the game). Turning off the lights with a couple of minutes left was just wrong. The fireworks that started almost before the game was over while the sun was still up (talk about wasting money - you couldn't see them). The fairwell during the game for Talley pulling him away from his team during a timeout. And probably some other odd things that just got lost in the shuffle.

All of that is especially disappointing as that was the best defensive game I've seen in a long time. Cosh earned his salary and then some. I have hated playing Nova for years as they always seemed to beat us (still picture Westbrook going up & down the field). Huge win today. Lots of guys stepped up but I'll start with the d-line that was so strong all day.

Marius Young hurt his knee - hope for the best for this fine young man; but it didn't look good. Other than that, there weren't many downers out there today. Lots of good things on offense and defense. Looks like things are coming together. Let's keep getting better.

That was the worst offense Villanova has put on the field against UR in a very long time. Our D was dominant. Their D was pretty good too but we were able to put points on the board.

NDSU losing opens things up a bit in FCS, let's keep the train moving next week.

Great game and great win. Awful game by the officials on some big plays, but at the same time, we were only penalized once or twice the whole game, so I guess it worked out. The fireworks situation was kinda funny. Guess they figured the game would last longer or something?

Loved that we added that late TD. The game is 60 minutes long. Play to the final horn.

Definitely agree it was the best total all around game they played since UVA. They were inspired. Hope Rocco can bring out that fire in them for the rest of the year.
