Interesting article on Track Endowment at W&M. In 1980, I received a certificate for my contribution to the endowment of Richmond football scholarships which was a big deal at the time. It would be interesting to know if those funds are still identifiable and their value or is it a W&M situation as described in the article where funds have be co mingled. It seems that UR is also lacking transparency in this area and also in baseball based on recent comments in other threads

I have to laugh about Martin’s statement- Martin described Erdahl, a W&M employee who reports directly to the Board of Visitors, as “an appropriate oversight body” and acknowledged that the expense of an outside audit would further stress department finances.
Uhh- that’s why you’re having an audit.
