TRUMPF'S LIES - LIE DU JOUR

Monument Avenue is one of most beautiful streets in America, and at least an attempt has been made to make it more diverse recently with the Arthur Ashe statue and the one of the generic black man on a horse.

I just had this conversation with someone the other day. I also think Monument is a pretty street, but think it would be just as pretty with different monuments - ones that were not erected during the Jim Crow era to effectively rewrite history.

By the way, when are all the statues of George Washington coming down? Just prior to his death there were 314 slaves at Mt Vernon, 124 owned by Washington and the rest were "leased".

Named after that slave owner:

Our nation's capital
1 state
24 cities and towns
72 townships
5 mountains
3 lakes
8 colleges and universities
Untold number of streets, parks, monuments, statues, highways, museums, schools, inns, hotels, restaurants, and God knows whatever else.

Of course this is ludicrous, he was a great man who lead us to independence. But you see my point....where does it all end? They even tore down a statue of Christopher Columbus, what the hell did he have to do with slavery? (lots of things named after Columbus too). Tearing down or moving the statues on Monument Avenue should be up to the residents/citizens of the city, not a bunch of out of work/out of school outsiders. Monument Avenue is one of most beautiful streets in America, and at least an attempt has been made to make it more diverse recently with the Arthur Ashe statue and the one of the generic black man on a horse. History is what it is, and cannot be changed no matter how hard you try. And BAD history serves as a reminder to us all not to repeat the same mistakes.

Rick: I don't like the way they came down, but don't forget they were coming down anyway. https://www.richmond.com/news/local...cle_a639a9e9-6757-5278-8da5-bf498241afb9.html

I would have hoped for them to be relocated to a historical site using appropriate decorum. I also want to see them replaced with statutes that can be enjoyed by most.

Decorum appears to be an ancient concept totally out of vogue today

and

Stoney brings to mind Nero, fiddles while our fair city is systematically trashed. Dereliction of duty. Unpardonable.

Nat Turner, Dred Scott, Gabriel; better? Tear all down. Smelt to oblivion? Making medallions “Rioters swayed Governor and Mayor to remove all history? Tear all down, every monument to history. None are to like or dislike, but to learn. History repeats if not remembered.

I use books for most of my learning - not sure I've learned much from any monument to anyone. Actually, I have learned that people can make fools of themselves defending offensive (to some) anachronisms. I'm sure everyone would have forgotten about the Civil War without all those monuments. And others make fools of themselves tearing them down when it's already been announced that they will be removed. As for replacements, I'm not proposing anything or anyone in particular. But I'm confident some good ideas will be forthcoming.

Google may help, but you will need other books for details. Then why the need for any monuments at all? Save the money and read a book.

That's it! We can have statues of books! And writers! Vince Flynn comes to mind...

Really?

Quite a bit actually.

“Let us in the name of the Holy Trinity go on sending all the slaves that can be sold.”

-Columbus after loading up a slave ship and sending it to Spain where 200 slaves died en route.

Columbus was an absolute monster. Google it.

I think some people are too far up Trump's ass to google anything.

Rome is Burning,40 million unemployed, coronavirus begins to spike in Republican governed states who believe God has a cure.We have borrowed 10 trillion dollars to shore up companies, businesses and individuals and more to come and now King Dolt goes into deflection mode with this .Nonsense.

King Dolt says he’s signed a ‘strong’ order to protect monuments

Trump says he's signed a 'strong' order to protect monuments

Here’s another bunch of BS.Not going to Bedminster to play golf in order that there be Law and Order in DC.Nonsense.How about a quarantine order in New Jersey.

Agent Orange says he canceled New Jersey trip to ensure ‘law & order is enforced’ in Washington, DC

  • King Dolt tweeted that he abruptly canceled a planned trip to New Jersey on Friday to “make sure LAW & ORDER is enforced” in Washington, D.C.
  • King Dolt’s late afternoon Twitter post was the first time he or the White House explained the sudden cancellation on Friday morning of his scheduled visit this weekend to his golf course in Bedminster, NJ.
  • The White House earlier had said that the cancellation was unrelated to a new order by Gov. Phil Murphy requiring visitors to the Garden State to quarantine after being in states with increasing numbers of coronavirus cases.
  • King Dolt’s tweet came a day after a report that he personally called Interior Department Secretary David Bernhardt and asked that the Park Service put back up a statue of Albert Pike, a Confederate general, which was pulled down and set on fire last week by protesters in a Washington park.

Glad that Agent Orange is finding 2 weekend days to get in rounds of golf in Virginia.Good place to strategically plan on how to put 40 million back to work and formulate to tactically formulate on how best to minimize the spread of coronavirus.Glad he’s taking some mental health days. His presidential intelligence cannot be overstated.

What a bizarre video. Almost everyone listed there with the exception of Ted Cruz is a Never Trumper who chose loyalty to the Deep State over Trump and their country at every possible opportunity. I wish we could get rid of these RINOs and replace them with true MAGA Republicans.

You have to wonder who the heck the audience is for this ad. But then you read up a little bit on this group and realize they don't actually care about having an audience as it is just a fundraising scam meant to line the pockets of the people behind it:

He just might be the dumbest person on the planet. What he is saying is He did not know Lincoln was a Republican. So clueless. It is unreal and just never ends.

You may be projecting with the dumbest person on the planet comment because Trump is clearly saying the opposite of what you suggest in this clip. Far from implying he didn't know Lincoln was a Republican, he is in fact taking personal credit for reintroducing to the country that fact that Lincoln was a Republican.

Fact Checking this comment, I think we can rate it: Mostly True. Obviously many people did in fact know Lincoln was a Republican prior to Trump reintroducing the idea in to the public consciousness. But a majority of the country surely would not have been able to answer that question correctly unless they were given multiple choice with only two options. Sadly, despite Trump's erstwhile efforts, I'd say a majority of the population almost certainly still couldn't accurately say which party Lincoln belonged to. But Trump's large point that he makes more frequent reference to "Honest Abe" than previous GOP Presidents is clearly true.

A very good day for Justice.

CRIME IS FINE WITH AGENT ORANGE CONSENT WITH BARR INTERFERENCE
—————————————————————————————————————

Stone was convicted of lying to Congress, obstruction and witness tampering.

Stone remains a convicted felon. He won't have to serve the 40-month sentence handed down by a judge -- and, in theory, could persuade an appeals court to reverse his conviction or secure a full pardon from Agent Orange on Nov.4th.

Stone was the sixth Agent Orange aide found guilty on charges linked to a justice department probe that alleged Russia tried to boost the Dr Dolt’s 2016 campaign.

Agent Orange has also publicly complained about the prosecutions of onetime campaign chairman Paul Manafort and former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn asking AG Barr to get his boys released.

Stone is Agent Orange’s whore boy.
Stone has worked with Republicans since the 1970s and has a tattoo of Richard Nixon on his back.He worked with Roy Cohn(who also worked with Joe McCarthy)as well, the NY punk lawyer who was Agent Orange’s personal lawyer.

Stone worked as a lobbyist for Agent Orange’s casino business, and later helped Dr Dolt’s unsuccessful White House run in 2000.

Stone let it be known he was going to spill more beans to NY DA if he wasn’t released.

Stone is a male whore and slime ball.Don’t even let him walk your dog unless it’s a pit bull that has eaten for a week.

The male whore of Agent Orange in his limo.

Here’s another gem from the male whore:

Directly from the DoJ website (highlight added):

What is the difference between a commutation of sentence and a pardon?
In the federal system, commutation of sentence and pardon are different forms of executive clemency, which is a broad term that applies to the President’s constitutional power to exercise leniency toward persons who have committed federal crimes.

A commutation of sentence reduces a sentence, either totally or partially, that is then being served, but it does not change the fact of conviction, imply innocence, or remove civil disabilities that apply to the convicted person as a result of the criminal conviction. A commutation may include remission (release) of the financial obligations that are imposed as part of a sentence, such as payment of a fine or restitution. A remission applies only to the part of the financial obligation that has not already been paid. A commutation of sentence has no effect on a person’s immigration status and will not prevent removal or deportation from the United States. To be eligible to apply for commutation of sentence, a person must have reported to prison to begin serving his sentence and may not be challenging his conviction in the courts.

A pardon is an expression of the President’s forgiveness and ordinarily is granted in recognition of the applicant’s acceptance of responsibility for the crime and established good conduct for a significant period of time after conviction or completion of sentence. It does not signify innocence. It does, however, remove civil disabilities – e.g., restrictions on the right to vote, hold state or local office, or sit on a jury – imposed because of the conviction for which pardon is sought, and should lessen the stigma arising from the conviction. It may also be helpful in obtaining licenses, bonding, or employment. Under some – but not all – circumstances, a pardon will eliminate the legal basis for removal or deportation from the United States. Pursuant to the Rules Governing Petitions for Executive Clemency, which are available on this website, a person is not eligible to apply for a presidential pardon until a minimum of five years has elapsed since his release from any form of confinement imposed upon him as part of a sentence for his most recent criminal conviction, whether or not that is the conviction for which he is seeking the pardon.

Stone specifically said he wanted a commutation rather than a pardon because he wants to continue to fight his conviction through the appeal system until he is fully exonerated. So the distinctions you point out there weren't really relevant to Trump's decision making process. Stone himself wanted the commutation over the pardon and Trump respected his choice.

This was the best choice for the country too, as Stone's appeals will cast further light on the criminals who orchestrated the Russia Hoax.

Nonsense. The whore boy let it be known he wanted out.He was totally uncooperative about Agent Orange’s involvement with Wikileaks.Neither Stone nor Dr Dolt know anything about laws only how to break them.Your naïveté about Stone Is overwhelming.Agent Orange doesn’t respect anything or anyone except himself and Putin.Stone solidifies himself as Agent Orange’s whore boy.He will be pardoned on Nov 4.

Maybe you did not read the highlighter portion very carefully. I
m positive that's what Stone wanted when he couldn't get a pardon. That's not the point. So here is is again, DoJ regs obviously mean nothing to DT and Barr has no will to fight to uphold DoJ regs.

To be eligible to apply for commutation of sentence, a person must have reported to prison to begin serving his sentence and may not be challenging his conviction in the courts.

Clearly Stone had not reported to prison to begin serving his sentence and clearly he still has a pending appeal. Different rules for friends of donald
