Tribe v UR -3.5 48F kickoff 9mph NW

Joe's numbers look a lot different without the drops. Good to see us run out the clock with some big 1st downs to finish the game off. That's something we have not done the past few seasons. 1-0 and a W over W&M. I'll take it!

Ryan Coll started at LG and Cade Salyers started and played the whole game at RG. Taz replaced Ryan when he fractured his Fibula in the 2nd qtr.

In the John Hardt world of athletics, it doesn’t matter if you get these types of things right, just that they competed. There is zero accountability for seemingly anything.

Echoing some comments above, lots of positives yesterday:
  • Excellent performance by all 3-levels of the defense.
  • Nice rotation of players on the defensive line. Tribe had a hard time blocking Darius Reynolds.
  • The young defensive backs really hit.
  • Offensive line did a nice job giving Joe some time and opening holes for our runners.
  • Overall, Joe did a nice job of managing the game. Need to come to grips that he's not accurate like Lauletta. His game is a bit more like John Laub.
I wish we were a little more aggressive with the ball at the end of the first half. I definitely found myself getting very frustrated with Durden through the end of the 2nd and 3rd quarter.

I hope Ryan Coll gets will fast and is ready for fall ball.

Durden believes in establishing the run by the pass. Problem is Mancusso tends to overlook the underneath receiver
or the obvious throw. Did better in Q4. Holes opened on last series to get two first downs, were result of great blocking.
