Those former UR players involved in the planning process to this point are Cline, ShawnDre’ Jones, Justin Harper, Darrius Garrett, Terry Allen and Darien Brothers. Players who did not play for the Spiders are also expected be team members.

Sounds great! Are the early games on TV usually? I bet these guys will get some easy buckets off the baseline out of bounds play.
Possible coaching candidates: Nancy, Zach Chu, Geriot, player coach TJ or KA, Paul Queally, Coach Fezz (we need board representation), Brian Muldowney. Maybe MolivaManiac.

For sure. Having Jason Elam come out and kick a field goal to decide a basketball game is an unusual concept, but I can dig it.
I don’t know details but recall that you have to get fan votes to make the field. There’s a bit of hijinx involved, including you can buy a spot in the field, which Dominque Rodgers Cromartie recently did.
Well, it'll never be implemented in "real" basketball. You can't eliminate the buzzer beater.
But in an exhibition, I'd rather see them play to a score than intentionally foul the last few minutes.
You could just leave it there. Promoters are making a nice buck on it though. I believe one of the key guys who developed this thing is a UR grad.
The VCU folks seem to love it, even though they haven't won squat. Seems like Overseas Elite is sitting back and laughing at the competition they're facing.
VCU fans like bright shiny objects with little to no value. Like a moths to a flame.

I remember wishing he could transfer to us but of course he would have had to sit two years. Probably played summer ball here with some of our guys, maybe knew Harp too.

Malcolm Bernard shows what a freaking wimp Mooney is. He could have put this academic restriction issue to bed. If in fact he was not admitted because his GPA was .1 below the threshold, then he should have been screaming to the heavens. But he was put in a stranglehold after his pathetic UNC-Charlotte meltdown, and didn't want to jeopardize his 1.3 mill + cars+ radio shows+ other benefits gig. He just shut up and went along. How pathetic.
