I think this season has been one of Coach`s best yet. His team has done a lot this season. To lose the players he lost at the end of last season, his team still competes at a high level. Excellent work Coach. Keep up the good work. He should retain his job through the end of his contract, based on his entire body of work.

So Mooney is having his best season. We competed and almost won half of our games. Must have went to the game last night in St.Louis. How was that long drive?

Thanks for stopping by, Lia.

Truthing much?

I was disappointed that Gallipoli didn't talk about how well CM's team is practicing this year...

In response to all the vicious things said about Coach Mooney and the players, I renamed this thread. I shudder to think how you would have acted towards Coach Tarrant in his last 3 years. I for one think Coach Mooney has done a masterful coaching job this season.

I'm concerned about your health.

If Mooney is retained through his contract and continues to lose at his current rate, his losses will likely exceed his wins. So the "all time" designation would ring hollow. The only thing Mooney has over Tarrant is youth. Please Hardt, fire Mooney and make Matt Smith drive him to Philly.

Ignoring for a moment the silliness that somehow the fan frustration is overly vitriolic (it’s not), exactly what has CM done to demonstrate a “masterful coaching job this season.” We are talking about the current 8-14 output against one of the weakest schedules in the country, correct?

I’m posting the number for Tucker’s Psychiatric just in case you need it - (804) 320-7881

Dont compare Moon to DT. DT would not put up with the defense and rebounding atrocities that Moon teaches, or fails to teach.

Dick the Great One recognized when he was losing his coaching Mojo and stepped down. Wish the Moon Man had the same level of self-awareness. The loss last night was one of the games that some thought we could actually win. Delusional thinking rules with the CM regime.

Tarrant’s last 3 years?
1990-1991 10-4 CAA 22-10, beating Syracuse in NCAA
1991-1992 12-2 CAA 22-8, losing to Florida in NIT
1992-1993 10-4 CAA 15-12

Do you think the last 8 seasons, particularly the last 2 compare?

Would you consider 10 more season like the last 2 masterful?

Well, I was there - I saw him around the RC regularly. The man was held in the highest regard. And he wasn't the highest paid employee at UR, either.
In his last 3 years he went 59-30 (32-10 CAA). He beat a highly ranked Georgia Tech at the Robins Center (yes, we stormed the court) and pulled off the greatest upset in the history of the NCAA tournament (at the time). Won a CAA tournament and a (separate) CAA regular season title.

Again with the "vicious things said about our players." I've been reserved calling it a fallacy. It's an out-and-out lie.

6 straight home losses I didn't know that meant success. Mooney won 12 last year about to finish another season with 12 wins.

If we somehow won the A10 tourney, I think the NCAA would give us an autobid to the Division 2 tournament instead of the D1 tournament.

My guess is we go 3-6 here on in, so 11-20?

That’s gonna be a brutal finish if it plays out that way.

yeah, his buddies in the Athl Dept told him to come on and spread fake news on their behalf.

Coach Mooney's plan in both the LaSalle and St. Bona games was very strong. The team executed the plan very well. However, it is a young team and they did hit a wall. I was evident to all that they ran out of gas late in the 2nd half in both games.

Isn’t part of hitting a wall Mooney’s fault in not properly rotating players? Maybe if he had used Sal to give a blow to some of the starters, they wouldn’t have ran out of gas in the 2nd half?

You have to read the post correctly...
