The Biden Doctrine

This war was one of choice by Hamas and Iran. If Biden would reinstitute sanctions against Iran, this war would end quickly.

Contrary to his predecessor, I have no doubt Biden is obtaining the advice from the Pentagon and listening to the same.

Evidence of the continued failure of Biden policies abroad abound. Instead of providing the weapons and capability to the Ukrainians early on, Biden has dithered and piddled around. Now NATO countries, including France, are seriously talking about deeper involvement in Ukraine, by placing personnel in country. If NATO gets involved, then the US will be drawn in. This is what happens when you don't lead, Joe.

"The French-led push for deeper NATO involvement inside Ukrainian borders is making headway with European allies, a spokesperson for President Emmanuel Macron's political party said.
Benjamin Haddad—a member of parliament for Macron's Renaissance party and considered a leading voice in French foreign policy discussions—told Newsweek on the sidelines of the Lennart Meri Conference in Estonia last week that NATO and the European Union need to "turn the tables" on Russian President Vladimir Putin after more than two years of full-scale war."...

"Macron is seeking to re-establish Western strategic ambiguity and knock Moscow off balance, with the deployment of NATO forces inside Ukraine in non-combat roles among his recent proposals. Though immediately dismissed by the U.S., the idea has won backers in Europe, particularly in nations that sit along Russian frontiers.

"Momentum for deeper NATO commitments—including troop deployment—in Ukraine is "clearly" building, Haddad said...."

Did you forget they are running against each other for President in 2024?
Biden projects weakness abroad. He attacks and undercuts our allies and friends. At home, Biden promotes weak, soft on crime policies and open borders, out of control inflation. Why spend money on illegal immigrants when so many Americans are in need?

Biden’s appeasement of Iran continues. Now he is telling our allies to not pressure Iran over it's development of nuclear fissle material. In fact, the Biden administration has no strategy for dealing with Iran (other than appeasement).

The Biden administration is pressing European allies to back off plans to rebuke Iran for advances in its nuclear program, even as it expands its stockpile of near-weapons-grade fissile material to a record level, according to diplomats involved in discussions

On Monday, the U.N. atomic-energy agency reported that Iran’s stockpile of 60% highly enriched uranium rose 20.6 kilograms to 142.1 kg as of May 11 from three months earlier, its highest level to date.

U.S. officials say that material could be converted into weapons-grade enriched uranium in a matter of days. It would then be enough to fuel three nuclear weapons.

European countries, particularly France and Britain, that Washington lacks a strategy for dealing with Iran’s nuclear advances. European diplomats have said that the Biden administration appears unwilling to either pursue a serious diplomatic effort with Iran or take punitive actions against Tehran’s nuclear transgressions.

What's your solution, G? You despise Biden and claim not to like Trump. So what is it that you hope happens in November?

Either Trump gets convicted and the GOP replaces him at the convention (my hope), Trump does not get convicted and he wins the election (2nd best option), or Trump gets convicted, contines his run for the presidency and he loses the election (the greatest probability). The Republicans were stupid in nominating him. What were these idiots thinking?

If Trump is convicted, he should withdraw. But we all know he won't.

Nikki Haley should not have dropped out.

By the way, I predicted that Trump will lose this election and this election will be his last in politics.

Trump has lost all control over his situation... his life and the future of the country are now in the hands of 12 jurors in New York.

Back to Biden. More news that the Biden administration is suppressing the recent IAEA report.

"An International Atomic Energy Agency report has concluded that Iran has increased its stockpile of near-weapons-grade uranium to 142.1 kilograms—an increase of 20.6 kilograms since the IAEA’s last estimate in February. This will be enough for three warheads once Iran completes the technologically straightforward process of enriching its hoard to 90% from 60%."

"But one does need to include the caveat that this is only the enriched uranium the rest of the world knows about. Tehran for years has thwarted the IAEA’s best efforts to fully inspect the nuclear program the mullahs insist they don’t have—one of the great flaws in Barack Obama’s misbegotten 2015 nuclear deal.

You’d think the U.S. would want the IAEA news to be released to pressure the regime. But the Journal reports that the Biden Administration has asked European allies to avoid censuring Iran for these violations of the 2015 pact when the IAEA board meets in June. But the Biden Administration is downplaying this report....

Biden's foolish insistence on demanding green energy replace fossil fuels is demonstrably hurting our country.

"President Biden’s green energy agenda has hiked gas prices, threatened the stability of the power grid and added $1 trillion in new regulatory costs on businesses and consumers, a new House committee report found.

The Biden administration has prioritized ending the use of fossil fuels and eliminating so-called greenhouse gas emissions, implementing its agenda with a whole-of-government approach that, according to the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, is damaging the economy and hurting consumers already struggling with high inflation and rising housing costs.

Gas prices, for example, soared under the Biden administration from $2.39 per gallon the day Mr. Biden took office to a record-high national average of more than $5 per gallon in June 2022."

The current average price per gallon is $3.54 and, in a bid to lower prices, Mr. Biden recently tapped into the nation’s emergency oil reserves for the second time in his presidency.

Do you have children? Grandchildren? Great Grandchildren? Whether you believe it or not, climate change is real. I honestly don't know if there's anything that can be done to stop climate change or slow it down, but would you do nothing? Just say to hell with it, let my descendants deal with it? I wouldn't be surprised if that's your position, but I would hope most people would care enough about their descendants to try to to something, anything that would help. But you only want to complain about high gas prices. Typical MAGA.

The left's typical response is who cares about your standard of living, the cost of food and gas to you or your job. The left says who cares whether the policies you support destroy jobs and create regulations that destroy entire industries. Who cares whether the nation is overrun by 10 million illegals or that government spending has created cost bubbles that are now baked into the inflationary spiral. The left doesn't care, because you believe there is an existential threat to the world, because of ... pick your cause... climate change. Your goal is to create a utopia in America that does not and can not exist. The cost of your utopia, and that pushed by Biden, is too destructive to the standard of living and the freedoms enjoyed by Americans, including my children and grandchildren, living in this great Republic.

By the way, every one of your arguments about climate change have been refuted in the Energy thread. I am still waiting for any refutation of the analysis.

The Biden Doctrine leaves this country vulnerable to control by those who wish us harm. OPEC has now decided to raise oil prices world wide, through the next election. Why give oil producing states the power to influence our policy?

Since January 2021, our President has voraciously claimed that he was helpless to prevent 10 million folks from just walking across our border. Absolutely nothing he could do. Nada. Hands tied.

Now this - https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/wh...ive-order-shutting-southern-border-rcna155426.

Anyone feel lied to?
"In 2018, the Trump administration tried to enact similar border restrictions but courts blocked them. The Biden administration now expects to defend the executive order against legal challenges."

The above is a quote from the article. Biden has said all along it was up to the legislature to enact different laws. Now he's trying what Trump did and likely the Courts will strike down the Executive Order just as they did with Trump. The Republicans, at the direction of Trump, refused to pass a bipartisan border law that would have helped but God forbid they defy the cult leader, regardless of if it helps the country.

Biden continues to self deter in Ukraine. Every time Russia threatens nuclear war, Biden wets his pants.

The Kremlin frequently threatens Ukraine and the West with nuclear weapons in order to promote Western self-deterrence. The Kremlin also uses nuclear rhetoric as a common tool of its reflexive control campaign aimed at influencing Western decision-making.

No. No. No. Can't transfer a problem created by one Party and blame it on the other.

The flow of illegals was slowed to a trickle until Biden took over. He opened the flood gates deliberately. This self created problem is owned by the Dems and folks are wise enough to see that. Will cost him more votes than he gains from the reproductive rights issue.

When the lasuits do occur, expect the Biden justice department to settle out of court. Biden, like Obama, uses these settlements to enact policy they can't get through Congress.

The minute Biden became President, huge caravans of people started streaming across the border. Biden can force Mexico to stop it, but he won't.

Biden is clearly one of the most decisive Presidents this country has ever seen. He has finally authorized the use of American weapons against Russians amassing troops for invasions into Ukraine. Until this decision, the Ukrainians couldn't even fire US bullets into Russia. Now he is allowing the Ukrainians to fire ATACMS into Russia, but not too far into Russia. This is truly a bold move by our Commander in Chief, even if it is only 2 years too late. Now, Joe, what about the F-16s and Abrams tanks?

Where are the F-16s, Joe? Apparently, NATO allies have promised up to 85 F-16s to be delivered this year. Sounds good. At least they aren't bi-planes.

On Tuesday, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky announced Belgium would donate 30 surplus F-16s—boosting to 85 the total number of the nimble, supersonic fighters Ukraine should receive starting this summer.

"The 1980s-vintage F-16s—which the Norwegian, Dutch, Danish and Belgian air forces upgraded to common standard in the late 1990s and early 2000s—have modern radars and are compatible with a wide array of precision munitions and electronic jammers."

The problem is the US isn't training Ukrainian pilots very quicky. Only 20 will be trained by the US this year. It seems we only allow 12 seats at a time and those slots are taken by our allies. Why not increase the number of seats? It seems someone should have thought of this 3 years ago.

"Ukraine says it has 30 pilots who are eligible to start training in the U.S. immediately. Yet the Biden administration has told Kyiv it lacks the school seats in its Arizona-based program to accept more than 12 pilot trainees at a time, according to three people with direct knowledge of the request. Two other facilities in Denmark and Romania have a similar issue with available training spots....

But the U.S. has told the Ukrainian military that in addition to limited space, other countries are in line for F-16 training at the base and that it cannot break its commitments to those nations.

“We understand they don’t want to break those contracts, but they could move their American pilots to a different base for training,” said Sasha Ustinova, a Ukrainian lawmaker who has advocated for the training.

The National Guard is planning to train 12 Ukrainian pilots total by the end of September at the Tucson location, according to Air Force spokesperson Laurel Falls. Aside from Arizona, the training facility in Denmark also has limited space and is preparing to shutter in November. A third program, which is located in Romania and will be run by contractors, is not yet up and running....

This is what playing for the draw looks like despite protestations to the contrary.

When the war ends:
the West will claim victory in stopping raw Russian aggression,
Russia will claim victory as they will gobble up another 20% of Ukraine on top of Crimea, seized in 2014,
while Ukraine will be left with a shrunken country devastated by war.

Yet another bad foreign policy decision by the ruling Champ in this arena for 4 decades, Biden.

Play to win or don't play at all.
