1-0 with a 10-4 win over Bucknell. 2 Freshmen hit HRs, Newman and Stanley, and Zink goes 4 for 5 with 4 piss ropes off Bucknell pitching. Typical first game, not crisp, but we looked much better than Bucknell. DeMarte looks good with 8 Ks in 5+ innings of work.

Just the start boys, just the start, but lookin' good.

Thought both Lively and Stoops looked good. Just think about that bullpen if we can get those two going... Lively, Stoops, Cook, the two freshmen, Bates (maybe) and not to mention Brockett.

Defense didn't look great, but what can you expect the first day out. Totally agree with you guys about de Marte. Told he was sitting 91-92 most of the day. Once he gets his stamina up, he is going to be legit. Looking forward to seeing how Sterling looks today...
