From the Staff to try to correct a misconception about the use of Terraces and need for a ticket:

You do not have to have a seat in the bowl to be in the terrace……Spider Club Terrace is a pregame function and fans do go to their seats in the bowl when the games starts….However, all other terraces sell tickets to sit in the terraces and they do not need tickets in the bowl…..Most fans who enjoy the terraces do not have tickets in the bowl….There are some occasions where a fan is invited to a function in the terrace who also has a ticket in the bowl but that is by coincidence…

Thanks, does our 7,201 attendance figure include the terraces?

Thanks Fan1. That makes much more sense and was hoping my understanding of this was incorrect.

Fan1,
I have no doubt you are correct.

The ticket office, IMO, was shall we say "not accommodating" this year.
I tried on 2 occasions to buy a ticket for my granddaughter and was told the game was sold out and there were no tickets to sell (not VCU game).
When there were about 1,000 empty seats the night of the game I called and questioned the situation and was told point blank that the reason was that people in the "Terraces" (no mention of Spider Club only) had the tickets but were upstairs and weren't sitting in them.
It's just discouraging when you go out of your way to BUY a ticket, there are lots of empty seats (more than just no-show season ticket holders) and you can't.
As usual, my expectations are too high.

2K.....I asked that question earlier in the year during a tour of the RC and was told that the 7200 included the terraces. I personally don't believe that is correct but maybe we should get John OConner to count the seats in the bowl and let us know.

I'm told terrace seats are included in the totals. Some people have both tickets, but I suspect most of the empties are no shows for what ever reason.

That will be a good project for the spider nation summer intern.

Was in several of the terraces this season; all were very nice. Perhaps, the President's terrace was a bit mire interesting. But all were great.
