Last nights win was nice. Let's hope our guys aren't too drained from that classic last night. Anyone got any insight on St. Joes?

They are playing their best ball of the year and Bembry is an incredible player

Splitting these next 2 road games would pretty great in my book.

Deandre Bembry is the likely A-10 POY, and I like our odds if we keep him under 20. But St. Joe's is probably the most Jekyll and Hyde team in the conference, so you really never know which version of them you'll get. I'll expect this to be a close one. Let's hope we can avoid the after-effects of VCU instead of taking a step back like we did after beating them last time.

Yes, Bembry is very good. 6'6" 210 and A-10's leading scorer. Winning on anybody's home floor is tough. Make some shots early and get some quick confidence is the key. There is that ever flapping hawk to deal with too! :)

Getting help when he has the ball will help just like it did with Graham.

Bembry is a crazy player. He is basically St. Joe's entire team. He does EVERYTHING. He scores both inside and outside, gets a bunch of steals, blocks, rebounds and assists. He could very well be the best player in the A10. Stop Bembry and St. Joes will go down easily.

In the A10 he is..
1st in minutes per game
1st in points per game
6th in steal percentage
11th in assist percentage
15th in defensive rebounding percentage
20th in block percentage
23rd in TO percentage

So he is good to excellent at pretty much everything.

In general, this is the type of team we play our best against.

One very good mid sized player that is so much better than the rest of their team...

Of course, it would help to be at home.

Hopefully we will continue to follow our past pattern.

I liked how CM brought up that we struggled early after the last VCU game. I was thinking the same. Tough emotionally to get back to business after a win like that. I think we'll handle it better this time.

Similar to us - St. Joes is very good at home (9-4 overall and 5-2 in A10 play) and bad on the road (3-10 overall and 1-7 in A10 play). So with our struggles on the road - this will be a touch matchup for us.

This is a big NIT game for us. If we want to make a meaningful end of season tourney - either the NCAA or NIT, we need this win. Ideally - it would be great to win the last 3, but if we can 2 of the next 3 - and maybe a game in the A10 tourney - I would feel good about our NIT chances. Not that the NIT is something we should be shooting for - but considering there is very little else to look forward to, its something.

We're going to run the table to the A10 title game. Then I don't know if we'll have the gas to make it over the top but it's going to be a fun ride. I see it in the teams body language.

Spot on. Good info.

As of last week, we were a 6 seed in the NIT bracket watch. UMass and GW were both 5 seeds, Rhody was a 2 seed, Davidson a 1 seed. This was prior to our wins over GW and VCU, so we probably be up in the 4 seed range when the next version comes out. But yes, underscores the importance of the next 3 games.

NIT is certainly not our goal, but after 3 years of no postseason (because the CBI doesn't count), making the NIT this year wouldn't be a bad consolation prize, especially for Kendall.

Agree with Trap win two of the last 3 and a game in the A-10 tourney, we should feel pretty good. And with the schedule we have left, that is certainly do able.

Yes, they have NIT bracket watches

I'm looking more at Brooklyn seeding before true postseason.

I believe a win moves our floor to 8th

Add a loss Sat by La Salle makes it 7th
