St. Bonaventure 2/4

Bonny came back to tie it and after that Spiders slowly took control of the game. No hiccups down the stretch making the necessary FTs at the end.

That said they were the -3-3.5 fav so supposed to win but honestly going into it didn't think they would get it done.

Students and crowd were great, we hit our FTs at the end, we outrebounded them, had lots of offensive boards, played tough D to hold them to 61, Burton played great and Grace looked good off the bench.

Some of you guys are gonna have to really stretch to find fault with tonight.

Sat behind Clippers and Nets scouts. Clippers scout’s text size on his phone notes was huge so could read everything he said…

On Burton:
NBA athlete
Needs space to get his shot off
Impressed with d
Impressed with dunks
Him and the nets scout were discussing his release and high arch shot, but agreed that it does go in…

Also, clippers scout and whoever he was texting agreed Tyler’s goaltend was a good block and not a goaltend.

Great game for Tyler to go off! IMHO, he was dominant in all aspects tonight.

The little short dumpy ref knows he could never have done that so he blew the whistle.

This effort was the game many of us have been waiting for since the start of the season - not because it was vs St B but because we put together 2 aggressive and convincing halves, played to our potential and expectations, and beat a good team of basically equivalent skills. It shows what we are capable of. We didn’t fold in final few mins of game. This type of effort was what was needed in OOC games and games such as Davidson and VCU. If we would have played to the expectations of the skills we put on the court more regularly this season, then our hopes wouldn’t rely upon winning A10 tourney. It is what it is now, and let’s hope that tonight is a springboard for the remaining games. Very good win with added value from multiple players.

Spot on. (maybe except for the "d" thing but I'll assume they mean off ball "d")

Except, we need more than just Burton and Golden scoring.

It’s the nature of the beast. The frustration level of seeing how we’ve lost almost every 50 50 game this year brings out criticism. That’s a very natural reaction that needs to be understood. Die hard fans can root for the team and also be critical. That is not a mutually exclusive concept.

The student section was rocking,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,kudos to them for a great turnout and lots of enthusiasm. Really fun night at the Robins Center.......all our scoring was starting five plus Grace, Burton was feeling it which inspired the crowd. May be the best crowd enthusiasm of the season led by the students..................

We didn’t shoot well against a good team and won. “But Burton had 36”. Fine, and it looks like he could do that more. He figured out how to finish around the basket tonight. Great win.

also #1 Welch on Bona is a punk. He got in a few players faces tonight and our bench let him have it after that Tyler 3. Suck on that L tough guy

I’m very much rooting for this team to win the A-10 tournament and then fire the coach after

Agree - Welch was shoving Tyler after play whistled dead. Was surprised refs just let it pass...................

That was a fun one. I'm 4-0 this season, but this was the most enjoyable for sure. Impressive that we could overcome another bad three-point shooting night against a good team and win. Good energy in the crowd and from the team. Sweep the Patriots and we could be in fourth by Wednesday night.

We expect you at both Patriot games this week. Expense the gas mileage to the message board.

I was rooting for the team from Rock Hill, SC. Wished I was there!!
