Been watching games since 1948 and only remember white, blue and gray. Of course, I'm old and the memory may not be accurate.

My Dad played for Richmond in the late 1940s but never said what color was the color of the helmets. Perhaps they still wore the leather ones!

Spiders wore red helmets in late 50s and early 60s. My dad got me one when I was 11 from staff. Home jerseys were similar to Ole Miss' blue jerseys but with red stripe between 2 white stripes on shoulders.
