Saint Louis

Foul this team mercilessly all night long. If someone ends up with a broken sternum in the process, so be it.

If it happens trust it is not a Spider...................be aware of "the John Cheney Temple effect of encouraging taking out members of the opposing team"...and do wonder how much the incidence is in Francis' mind before this game.......that had to hurt big time!

There was no excuse for the hit on Francis from last year's game. I was sitting in the stands, a few rows up. The hit occurred right in front of me. It looked like the SLU guy plowed right into Francis with his shoulder. It was a tackle. Then Blake was lying on the floor for what seemed like an eternity. That was not "playing tough". It was intentional and designed to injure Blake, which it did. It was an intentional hit on one of our best players. Expect more of the same tonight.

Total tackle after the play was dead...............wasn't even called for a foul ............not even Intentional Foul anywhere on the radar..........................

I just don't want Grant taking any unnecessary fouls. doesn't make sense. you're asking him to take a foul to save most likely 1 point? a couple of those and he's on the bench. I like Grace as much as the next guy but that' snot an even swap. I want Grant on the floor.

if there's 3 minutes left and Grant has fouls to give ... sure. but not earlier when it can force him to the bench.
I'm asking for Mooney to instill a different mindset in Grant for this game defensively. Of course, you have to be smart, but a hard foul by Grant if someone gets lose, sends a message to SLU that we aren't going to make it easy.

If I'm Ford, I'm telling French to take it hard at Grant knowing that once he gets around him, Grant will just let him go.

This would represent a change of tactic (an adjustment by the Moondog) that perhaps will catch SLU off guard and force them to alter their game plan.

I remember the play, it was a scrum, possibly a little late. I didn't and still don't consider it a dirty play. I don't think our coaching staff or anyone said after the game they thought it was dirty.

I was there, too. I posted the video of the incident earlier.

You must have had a few too many "Once-in-a-Blue-Mooney Tourney Draughts."

That was a live ball and the SLU player dove - at worst - simultaneously with Blake. When he left his feet, Blake wasn't even where he dove. It was a fluke accident.

Not one player on our team (including Blake) thought it was dirty, nor did our homer broadcasters.

Unreal. F SLu. It's time to just say screw them. No more games for them this year. We could have played someone else tonight. Obviously, they don't give a damn about covid, and other teams should not keep suffering because of it. Just screw them. No more games for them.

force them to alter their game plan? that's funny. you think an athlete like French is afraid of being fouled? like a hard foul will turn French into a fade away shooter? you've seen French play.

he'll take Grant's hard foul and laugh all the way to the foul line. he'll miss one or two, and then he'll go right at him again next time if he gets the chance. Ford would like nothing better than Grant taking fouls and then sitting on the bench.

Dammit, EL!

Your reverse Jinx was suppose to be on the outcome, not on the game itself being played!
