Richmond (-5) vs. St. Louis - let's get some predictions!

Will we get the hot shooting Spiders or the ones that can't buy a bucket? Will we be the team that gives up 85 points, or the one (granted, that rarely shows up) that holds opponents under 60?

This team has shown the ability to beat almost anyone, and lose to almost anyone. I hope the great Spiders show up!

If we were to win out, I would feel pretty good about our odds of making the tournament. We would have swept GW (a top-40 RPI team), split with VCU (currently a top-40 RPI team), split with Davidson (inexplicably still a top-50 RPI team), beaten Dayton (a top-15 RPI team) and avenged the earlier losses to Mason and Davidson. We'd have 6 wins against top-50/top-75 teams and possibly a couple more against top-100 teams like Wake and UNI/ODU, if one or two of them sneak in there or remain there. That's a lot of quality wins. We'd probably have to win a game in the A-10 tourney, cause losing our first game there would not sit well.

Of course, there is a 0% chance of this happening, but if it did, yes, I would feel very good about our tourney odds.

Yes, the above scenario is probably a stretch, but I hold out hope that we will go on a run and play like we did in a number of games earlier this year, and if by chance we do, this team has shown it is capable of beating high quality teams. Regardless, it isn't 0% chance of happening until we lose.:)

I believe Hall of Fame Bill Parcells famously said "We are what are record says we are".

It is a bit more accurate when schedule a bit more even.
I doubt that 7-1 in the MEAC is better than 6-2 in the ACC...

NCAA tourney of course! 7 more to GO..... Lou Brown: "OK, we won a game yesterday. If we win today, it's called "two in a row". And if we win again tomorrow, it's called a "winning streak"... It has happened before! "

So the final score is 67-53, a 14 point spread. The Ulla predicted 70-58, a 12 point spread. Believe the Ulla won and will be happy to receive chips and hummus on Saturday at the Fordham game! OSC

They're a lousy team and it was lightly snowing and its small time basketball in a big time baseball town. Probably could have gotten good seats cheap though. At least we filled seats after a major snow.

I've never seen a commentary team abdicate their job quite the way those guys did last night. That interview was long, very unscripted, and largely irrelevant. Weird.
