Whatever we were doing on defense thet were wide open and then we did not offensive rebound.
Shot selection and didn’t run our stuff & settled for jacking up shots. Defense wasn’t up to par tonight.
Bingo. I saw that and said “ What the f”. We need the ball, and everyone heads back on defense. 0 effort to rebound. Awful.
Feels like a summary of way too many games.
I just watched the end of the VCU game, I know they lost, but they played with fire at the end....we had guys moping around like their dog died with 5 minutes left....everyone but King and maybe Tyne looked horrible in the second half.
Damn its hard to watch Mooney basketball. Sickening really. Every road game his teams, for years and regardless of opponent quality, have been completely unprepared and overwhelmed. Man, its sad for the players, fans, and students to have to endure such failure time and time again.
Same ole movie. YAWN. The actors change, but the director stays the same. Just another reminder of why my interest in the program isn't what it was. Oh well.

I would have been pissed off in the past, now I am just used to it. Must win game and loved to see Moon with the calm stupid stare as they got open look after open look and Quinn jacked up jumpers. Fun times.
Like literally what team could we actually beat away from home? Does it exist? Starting to think not.
So far this year - NO. Remains to be seen. Play more like this then will lose all against teams no better than NI.
The biggest reason is Mooney only knows and only allows one style of play, which makes it difficult to make any halftime adjustments. Once a team has seen us for a half, they know what’s coming because we only play 1 way.
Another issue: we come out of halftime every game with our starters back in the game, when it’s evident each game that we are not starting our best 5 players!
I just dont understand how it's technically possible, I mean their gym was empty, it was like playing at a neutral court!
It doesn't end. it's continuous. When one gets about 3 years from expiring they just add a few years on it in the name of "recruiting" and repeat the whole process a few years later.
Darn shame the AD doesn’t see what is so apparent to everyone else and replace this coach. Tonight’s game is so representative of his career at UR.

Only couple questions I have is UNI at FT line near the end I think up 2 and get OB and score. Quinn (had 4 fouls) and Bigs were on bench going to an offensive possession but they come in next possession for defense after we were shooting foul shots. Possibly late with the subbing?
And I know down 6 with about 45 seconds but Quinn quickly shoots a 3. Only 4 attempts all season so possibly a TO there to set up a play might have been used? Other than that just one of those games couldn't get it done.

No kidding. I was watching him on the sideline when I could and he was just standing there motionless with his hands in his pockets. Don't know what's in his pocket but it sure has his attention.

Well the problem is Hardt may forget to renew his own contract, at which point PQ takes the pen and shows the interim AD how to add a couple years.
Mooney would rather lose a game than have a player foul out.
We are beaten down by 19 years of Mooney.
We know the team is trying. What’s frustrating is it appears we have real talent and it will be wasted once again.
Mooney told his buddy Jacobsen he was going to throw him a bone since UNI sucks and this would be like the only OOC team other than JMU and William & Mary that we had ever beaten more than once on the road in Mooney's career, which probably would have gotten Jacobsen fired on the spot.
I did, they were actually trying to win, except for Jason who is use to losing...lol...most of our guys looked like a deer in the headlights, plus VCU was playing a kenpom 50s team.....

Yes I wonder what Boyden is thinking about this defense. If I was coaching would be beside myself. It looks great vs VMI and Siena, but really just non existent against decent teams. Would like to see some extended run with a lineup with Dji/Harris/Bigelow and Walz 2 through 5. And I don't want to hear "where isbthe shooting?" Guys weren't hitting 3s anyway. Sometimes you need to ADJUST and play ugly.
