Biggest one is that the line between a block and a charge would be the planting of the foot to take off instead of needing to actually be airborne, so the balance would shift toward more close calls being blocks rather than charges.

Good. The number of charges are ridiculous. Coach K ruined college and high school basketball for years. Too many guys throwing their bodies in the way at the last minute while still moving and getting the call. Especially at lower levels, refs love being the hero and making a charge call

Having worked in the media covering sports for 30+ years, I can assure you the last thing any reporter ever wanted was more timeouts and longer games.

Now management, thinks differently, because it can sell more commercials.
